Traveled to area to attend one of Cessna Aircraft"s training courses. I specifically chose a Hilton property because I needed a business center (access to internet and printer) to do "homework" assigned during the training course. On the first night of my stay, the internet printer ceased working due to an empty print cartridge. Advised front desk of problem, but clerk said she had no replacement cartridges. Next night, printer was still inoperative, so I went to the Best Western next door to use the internet. Staff there was very friendly. That night at the Hampton, the fire alarm went off no less that four times between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. Not a good night's sleep. Came back that evening to find the printer STILL inoperative, so I went to Staples office supplies an bought a print cartridge for $26.00. I printed what I needed, then popped the cartridge out and left the business center as another person was waiting to use the printer. He was not amused. Next morning, I asked to see the manager about the "100% satisfaction guarantee," but she wasn't coming in that day. I then gave the print cartridge to the desk clerk and checked out. Stayed at a Marriot property in Tulsa the next night...no problems. Rather pleasant, in fact.
While my experience at this Hampton is probably an exception, the "I don't give a rat's behind" attitude of the staff really apalled me." I'l go elsewhere when given a choice between a Hampton and another chain's proerties.
Follow-up emails to Hilton/Hampton have gone unanswered and unaddressed.
