We chose to sat at the Motel 6 Youngstown, Ohio last night after finding the Grove City hotels were all booked. We went there based on recent Tripadvisor reviews. The hotel room is sparse and austere but in my opinion- it makes it easier to clean for the staff. The room we stayed in had a king size bed(made with fitted sheet and 3 pillows), a small luggage rack, a small table with a chair and a upholstered bench, a flat screen TV that had it's "accessory jacks" available for dvd players or whatever, a second set of shelves that would hold duffel bags. The floor is faux bamboo-zero carpeting. The bathroom area was clean and the towels were decent.
The bed was very comfortable, the sheets stayed in place-very important to me! Many channels on the TV to watch.
Things were good until my husband woke up early and decided ti take a shower. His first issue was that the hot/cold directions were missed labeled on the shower faucet-starting out with a relatively cold shower. Once he figured that out, the steam from the shower shorted out the whole room's electricity- so he ended up showering in the dark. He was not too happy about that! He had to go outside, there are outdoor corridors, and go to the lobby to get the circuit flipped- not a happy hubby. He even asked at check-out if we could get some money off of the bill- but was told no- they do not discount for any reason- Not Cool!
Pros:
*very clean, freshly painted
*comfortable bed, with fitted bottom sheet
*new air-conditoner/heater unit
*great TV with many channels
Cons:
*no alarm clock
*no cute little shampoos/conditioners-bring your own!
*no tissues-which I thought was really weird!
*No carpeting-which I didn't mind when we stayed-but if it had been cold, raining, or snowing would probably create some issues!
For $65 - not a bad deal, but it obviously would not be for everyone.
