For starters, I have read the previous reviews, and they appear to be all over the place from excellent to the hotel being "atrocious". I have been traveling to youngstown for the past 20 years because my wife is from there, and usually stay at a relatives place. This time, we stayed at the Country Inn and suites and couldnt have asked for more, The service was top notch! From the night staff to the day staff, everyone will go out of their way to assist you with mid-west charm, attentitveness and professionalism. If you are expecting valet service when you approach, champagne and choclates waiting on the bed, and a 5 star resteraunt, complete with a french chef in the back, then you will not like it. You should drive to Beechwood, which is about an hours drive from here...
This hotel is close to the highway, and has many resteraunts within walking distance of the hotel. From an affordibility standpoint, the four of us were able to sleep in a spacious room for about 87.00 per night. It was equipped with a pull out sofa and queen bed. There is a pool that stayed busy, and a small excercise room that never had anyone in there. The only drawback for me was that the third floor smelled a little smokey and that the breakfast justified the multiple options available OUTSiDE of the hotel. Overall, it was a great experience..
In short, if you are a prissy princess or proper prince and would be appauled by a small stain on the carpet, then this will not work for you. If this is not an issue, you will be satisfied by your stay..
