“If you need a simple room for the night this will suffice, anything else or if traveling with kids forget it!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012 via mobile

Was looking for a cheap place to lay my head for the night and certainly found it. When I arrived (late at night to be honest...1 AM) it took a few rings of the doorbell to get the attendant to awake. My room was somewhat clean (food left in the fridge) a few small stains on the pillows, but generally accceptable. The room was FREEZING which was unacceptable as it was early January. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was also horrible (no coffee made) and just a few muffins out. If you are traveling and looking for a simple place to lay your head for eight ours, it'll do and you are paying for what you get (barely). If you are looking for more or has kids I would avoid at all cost.

“CLEAN, QUIET AND INEXPENSIVE”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 December 2011

I have stayed about 60 times at this hotel over the past 3 yrs (I am often in Columbus on Business). I do not have much free time when in Columbus so amenities like a pool really have no value for me during my stays. I am looking for a clean quiet comfortable place to sleep.

The Econolodge in Worthington is a contradiction in terms. It is in an nice area, clean, comfortable and quiet. It is inexpensive. It does not have many amenities. Complimentary coffee & muffins are nice but not high end (there is a Starbucks next to the hotel if you need an upgrade). There is no pool, business center, nor restaurant on the premises. It is an older property, but has been maintained better than most.

It is probably the best value for a hotel in the Columbus area.

“The Place Is A Dump”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2011

No payment receipt was given at time of check in. I was told a reciept would be given at time of check out as well a $20.00 deposit would be refunded. The TV remote was broken, literally broken in half. The noisy air condition unit malfuntioned during my stay, which by the way was seven days. A grocery cart with trash strewn in and about was near the door. The water pressure was very weak, the shower water was barely warm. The place is franchised to a family who own a number of motels in the area. At least eight of them live in the rooms of this miserable, depressing place which borders on being a flophouse. Miserable and depressing is no exaggeration, the place is one of the most f-ed up motels I have ever had the misfortunate to stay at.

Come check out time I request my receipt, I was handed one minus the $20.00 deposit. I ask for a full receipt and request a return of the $20.00 deposit. What deposit the woman from India at the desk asks? Long story short, she refuses to return the deposit, won't give me a receipt, I call the police, the cop tell me it's a civil matter so here I am writing my review for the EconoLodge located in Worthington Ohio. The place is a miserable, depressing dump.

“Clean”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 September 2011

We stayed one night at the Econo Lodge, Worthington, OH. It was clean, which is what's most important to me. It had a nice fresh smell, even though it wasn't new. It's close to a Starbucks and several restaurants. If you just want a place to spend the night, go for it.

“I liked it for the price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 August 2011

This place is nothing amazing, but for the price I thought it was good. The hotel is only about a block from the highway, and the rooms were clean. There is a basic breakfast, with cereal, toast, and muffins. There are a number of restaurants and a starbucks within walking distance. The workers were all pleasant and the room was clean.
