Attending college orientation with my son and chose to come up the night before rather than make a long early morning drive. My wife and son had made an initial visit a few months ago and stayed at the same hotel. They endorsed it as a good hotel although my wife did not enjoy her lunch at the onsite restaurant.
We pulled in around 11PM and I found the lobby to look very inviting. The check in process went smoothly although the clerk gave somewhat of an unfriendly vibe with no greeting; welcome to....we hope you enjoy...etc, etc. Pretty much just sign here and then I will ignore you. Unusual for a hotel check in, but maybe it was an off night. Parking lot was quite full and we ended up on the far side of the hotel and a good distance from our room on the second floor. Room was as expected with microwave, fridge, tv and two queen beds. Fridge was a little annoying as it was not secured within the opening and wanted to walk everytime you used the door. Strange, but this was the best HD TV pic that I can remember ever seeing in a hotel. Opted to purchase the full hot breakfast, and the omlet was made to order and delicious. Our destination, OSU/ATI was practically across the street, so the location was very convenient. For any future visits to the college, we will most likely consider staying at this hotel again.
