Mirabelle Bed and Breakfast owners Steve and Susie Ellis host their guests in an impeccably clean, beautifully decorated 1913 farmhouse just off the campus of the College of Wooster. (The Mirabelle is a five-minute walk from campus.) Steve is the breakfast chef, serving well-executed French toast, Belgian waffles, Mexican quiche, and many other surprising, delicious morning entrees. Both Steve and Susie are Wooster natives, so they can advise and guide their guests on almost any question they might have. The Mirabelle is also a perfect headquarters for folks who come to Wooster to attend the Ohio Light Opera, or for those who want to check out the beautiful farms and homesteads of the largest Amish community in the United States, just south of Wooster. I recommend the Mirabelle without reservation, and that's not something I do very often. The bathroom was large, the bed comfortable, and the house quiet, except for the occasional squeaky floorboard ~ not surprising in a nearly 100-year-old home.
