The hotel is just OLD, everything is OLD, the carpets are OLD, the furniture is OLD, the plumbing is OLDER, the internet slow in the evening was dead in the morning and nobody to repair it, the television is HUGE but in depth not in width ! Well the hotel just URGENTLY needs to be refurbished.
Until then ...

Our usual Holiday Inn Express in Bellevue KY was booked for our Kings Island weekend so chose this one instead based on the great reviews. The hotel was fairly small with plenty of parking but it was not what I was expecting. The rooms were much smaller than a typical Holiday Inn Express, which wouldn't be a big deal but with four best friends in a room it was cramped, even the coffee pot had to be under the nightstand as there was no room to sit it and with our bags in the floors we used the beds to get from side to side. The beds were comfortable with the firm and soft pillows you would expect at a typical Holiday Inn Express but everything else needs updated as the TV was a small box tv and a air conditioner that didn't want to work very well. We would have enjoyed the pool but it closed at 11pm and we were never in the room until at least 11. The breakfast was the best part of our stay here, we only ate it one day out of our stay but with sausage, biscuits, cereal and pastries there was something for everyone. We really wanted some oatmeal but it has to be heated and there was no microwave in sight. We won't be staying here again but I would recommend it for anyone staying in the area or on a budget. We stayed on the top floor and heard noise constantly coming from below. It wasn't traffic or other guests but sounded more like a grinding noise.

In general everything was great, but specially the service was very good.

They seemed to be willing to do their job, the couple of requests I made were attended promptly and efficiently.

The rooms looked and felt like-new, the beds were nice and each queen bed had 4 pillows 2 labelled "soft" and 2 labelled "firm".

The breakfast was good and each day had a small variation.

The internet access worked each time I tried it.

It doesn't have those TV systems where you can order movies, games, etc. just local channels and a few cable ones. But we stayed there to go to Kings Island amusement park so we didn't really needed it.

That's why I gave 4 out of 5 points in location, because it is not that close to Kings Island, but it is close enough. Other than that it is just out of the freeway.

If we decide to go again to Kings Island for more than a day, we will probably stay again here.

Stayed here for a gal pal shopping trip w/4 friends.. Close to expressway, clean, close to all our shopping places. Management very helpful. Good breakfast.... Does have a pool... Will DEF stay here again!!!
