I stayed here this week for the 2nd time in 3 years. It wasn't perfect 3 years ago, but seems to have really gone downhill since. This is a downtown hotel, with a dark, scary parking lot out back (the kind you see in movies with trash cans and shrieking cats ;-). Actually, I think it's just perhaps the the whole town of Warren has kind of gone downhill after the auto industry crash and the economy. It wasn't just this hotel...everything in the town is rather dilapidated-- closed business, boarded up buildings, creepy people sort of just "hanging out" everywhere. The place smells rather musty. The staff at the desk was SO nice and helpful though. They have a typical continental breakfast. I never saw another guest while I was at the hotel (I think I might've been the only person there!)

My credit card was billed for a reservation 3 days after the reservation was made. The reservation wasn't for several weeks out. When I called to cancel they couldn't find my name as being registered and the manager after 4 attempts would not return my calls. The bottom line is they billed me for a room I never used, refused to even talk to me about it even though they admitted they could even find my name as a registered guest. This cost me $69.99, a mistake I won't make again.

What a disaster!! The owner had the nerve to book a private dance party the same night he was sold out to young girls in a beauty pageant and dance competitions. In a normal hotel, that would be ok. Not here. Old hotel on courthouse square means thin walls and no privacy. Over the thump of the bass, we could hear "f" bombs being thrown. Even the TV couldnt cover up the music and profanity that went on until approx 3AM. On top of that, you could here your neighbors pee, flush , and shower, too. Never again will I stay at this hotel or anywhere near Warren, OH. I would rather stay 20 miles away and make the drive than deal with this trashy town.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights for a funeral in the Warren area. We arrived around 10pm on a Thursday. This hotel is located in the downtown area which is pretty much desserted in the evening. Parking is free in the back of the hotel, and you are able to park in front of the hotel until 10am, after that you get a ticket. The rooms are typical, basic rooms, nothing really special. No flat screen tvs, no refrigerators or microwaves. I had a room with two double beds. There was also a desk and two chairs in the room and a small closet. Again, nothing special. They offer a "continental breakfast," if that's what you want to call it. Both mornings that I went down there, the only items that were available were bread for toast, a few plain bagels and a few english muffins. They had packets of oatmeal and an orange juice/apple juice machine. (The waffle machine was broken) Make sure you eat your food in the lounge, if you walk out of the dining area with it you will get yelled at by the staff. And don't use more than two creamers in your coffee or else or you will get the same result. The rooms were drafty and the heat didn't work right, the rooms were either too hot or too cold. On the upside, there is a bar on the ground floor with a super-nice bartender and a lounge area that has a live band on Saturdays. They try to charge a $3 cover charge to watch the band, but if you say that you are staying in the hotel then it is free. (I guess people from town come to the bar/lounge on the weekends) Overall, this hotel is nothing special. For the price, I guess it wasn't that bad.
But take my advice, if you want breakfast make other plans.
