Good comfortable rooms with good TV/Cable options and reasonable wifi. Mine was a suite with living room area and additional plasma TV. Room was well serviced and kept clean. Airconditioning was effective (Van Wert was in the middle of a heatwave) but a little noisy,

Unless you want to eat Mexcian everynight, (a reasonalbly good mex is over the road) all dining options are a pretty long walk or a car ride...not that the dining options are that terrific in Van Wert anyway. Breakfasts are...in a couple of words..."processed garbage"...in the normal US business hotel style. I wish they'd add $10pn to the room rate and include decent breakfast options...."real eggs" would be a good start.

The hotel has a pool that's tiny and about 4ft deep and pretty usless for a workout....and the fitness centre is a bit of a joke. The hotel also offers no laundry service which is a pain when you are staying a week. Overall, it's okay...but it's really pretty basic. Doubt you'll do a lot better in Van Wert OH though.

My advice? Stay in nearby Fort Wayne (35 mins drive away) if you can.

Stayed one night, very large suite with king bed and full kitchen. Bed was very comfortable with variety of pillows to choose from ( Soft, Medium etc ). Pool water was a bit cool. Hot Breakfast was better then expected. Great Coffee! Very Quite Hotel, did not hear any noise what so ever. I will use this Hotel again when traveling in this area.

Stayed here while on a trip from the east coast to the Chicago area. Hotel seemed new or nearly new - staff later told me it was 2 y.o. Comfortable beds & clean, undamaged room (w/ one exception. Shower curtain had a smudge on the edge from where people have repeatedly handled it...only dirty spot in the room...told staff about it upon departure...was told they'd replace it that morning. Hot breakfast with scrambled eggs, biscuits/gravy, cereal, etc. available. Decent Mexican restaurant across the road (walkable). Gas station near by, but cheaper gas 35mi east in Lima, OH. Yes; I'd stay here if passing through the area again.

We spent one night here at the Holiday Inn Van Wert. It is a nice place and the rooms were very clean. The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was free and very good. A nice swimming pool as well and it is indoors. Free parking as well. Free wi-fi and a computer in the business center for the guests use also. I would stay here again.
