We stayed the night at the Fairfield Inn in Troy, OH on September 25, 2003. The staff was VERY friendly and helpful. Our first room was supposed to be non-smoking, but upon entering, it was very obvious the last person had smoked heavily in the room. We were immediately moved to another room, no problems. We were surprised at how large our room was (we had two double beds, lazy boy, microwave & fridge). We were on the first floor right next to the exercise room and across the hall from the breakfast room, but we did not hear any noises. My husband used the pool, and said the facilities were very clean. Breakfast was very good...make your own fresh waffles, toast, bagels, danishes, cereal, fruit, milk, juice and milk. Our room could have used a more thorough vacuuming, but otherwise very clean. It is very close to shopping and restaurants, so there is no problem finding something to do for an afternoon. We would definitely stay here again if we were going through Troy for vacation.
