“Friendly courteous and clean”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

Have stayed here before and liked it. This time the hot tub wasn't working. They'd had problems with it and have sealed it off. You can't even tell it was there now. The pool however was open and clean. Coffee and cookies were out each day. The breakfast was very nice with a good variety of food to choose from. So much it could barely be called a continental breakfast.
The room was clean and ready. There's a smoking room outside (Ohio law doesn't allow inside smoking) and the smoking room was heated. I'm not a smoker but my friend is and she was impressed with that.
I felt very safe there. I didn't notice if there was a safe in the room or not. This trip I didn't need one as I carried my computer gear with me each day.
Everything was maintained well. I didn't see any loose paper, old carpet, etc. It was all clean and nice. The staff was friendly and warm. The water was nice and hot, with great pressure in the shower.

Room Tip: I prefer second floor rooms but this is a quiet area so it doesn't really matter. The upper fl...

“Need renovation!!!!!!!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2011

We chose this Fairfield Inn as it is on our way home as ti is close I75. The staff were friendly and the room is standard Fairfield. The property should be renovated to the new Fairfield looks. Room furniture is dated and needs update.

The mattress is too soft to my liking, The bathroom is bigger than standard but needs update also. Internet connection is great & works fine.

The lobby has a computer for guests to use, and no complicated procedures to get online. The entire property is non-smoking.

There is a pool but it was occupied by an entire boys football team and off limits for anyone else. If the price had been $15 cheaper I would have given the place 3 stars, but given the better experience we've had lately, I think this one rates slightly lower. Next time we're in Dayton, we'll probably try somewhere else instead.

I'm very sorry that you did not "love" your stay. There was a very large football tournament in town for the weekend you were traveling. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this caused you. I hope that you feel confident enough in our service to give us another try.

“Good enough”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 September 2011

That japanese TV channel...LOL. Perfectly ok hotel, I have only minor complaints such as breakfast and weird smell in corridor. I wasn't too impressed with the furniture either. So...not top rating but still recommended.

“No safes in room, daughter had Ipod stolen by Hotel Staff”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 June 2010

The room was nice, the location was nice, the price was right. We arrived Friday night around 8 p.m., check-in was quick (I am a Rewards member but I don't think that sped it up any.) Had a great first night's sleep.

Daughter did her homework using Ipod touch calculator on Friday night and finished Saturday a.m. We left the hotel around 7:45 a.m. and returned home at 11 a.m. The Ipod was no longer with her homework. (We tore apart the entire room, twice, our minivan, our luggage and our coat pockets just in case.) Hotel housekeeping is the only one that was in the room all weekend, other than us.

After verifying that we had left it in the room, and it wasn't misplaced somewhere, we contacted the front desk. The front desk person called her manager, who said she would call our room when she arrived. No call Saturday night. Checked again on Sunday, was told manager had scheduled all hotel house keeping staff for interviews on Monday, and manager would call us. Verified all of our contact info so manager could get in touch with us.

Over a month later, still no contact from anyone from the hotel. Not One. Single. Word.

We ended up turning in a police report, as the hotel management clearly doesn't care or is trying to keep things quiet.

“Great stay but a tad pricey”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 May 2009

My husband and I, son and wife booked 2 rooms here. We both got the king spa (kind size bed with jacuzzi tub). Rooms were VERY clean, as was the entire hotel. Jacuzzi tub was not big enough for two people.

Coffee maker in room was very clean and worked well, as did the refrigerator and A/C. Did not use microwave. Landscaping around hotel was very nice. Pool area was very clean, although we did not get time to swim. Breakfast was kind of disappointing. The danishes, although pre-packaged, were very dry and had no taste. Not a big selection of muffins on Friday-better on Saturday. No other rolls offered. Bagels were fresh and good.

Very close to many great places to eat. A little hard to find the hotel unless you saw the big sign on the building first. Watch the bump (about half-curb height) going into their driveway from the service road.

Very quiet even though it was close to highway. There was a large group of soccer families that arrived Friday night and the hotel posted signs that no soccer equipment was to be brought into the hotel. That was great!
