“Excellent!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 November 2011

Everything about this place is really good. Even the phone call to make the reservation was spectacular. The night we arrived, the manager on duty kindly greeted us and made the checking in process effortless. I love the fact that they allow dogs, and they were actually excited that we brought our dogs. The breakfast. cleaning and reception staff were so friendly and constantly made sure that we were okay and had everything we needed. They also offer military discount, and free wifi. The standard king room comes with a couch, refrigerator, microwave and a rolling desk.

“Good Place to Spend a Night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2011

Once you figure out the hotel is on the Northwest Corner of I-71 and Rt 36, hidden behind a Bob Evans, the effort to find the place is worhwhile. Room well appointed and clean, bed comfortable and bathroom larger than average. Lobby was nice and staff very helpful.

Room Tip: Rooms with windows to rear do not get interstate or restaurant noise in front.

“Smokers Welcome - Noisy I-71”

We reserved a non-smoking room four weeks in advance of our stay. Our room was on the third floor. When we got off the elevator we immediately noticed an overwhelming smell of stale smoke. The hallway reeked of smoke. Our room was marked as a non-smoking room, and it did not smell like anyone had been smoking in the room recently, but the terrible stale smoke smell from the hallway was flowing into our room. I did not enjoy smelling nasty stale cigarette smoke all night.
Additionally, the sound of cars and tractor trailers passing by on I 71 made it difficult for me to sleep the night of our stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the opposite side from I 71. If you reserve a non-smoking room, make sure it is o...

“Met My Expectations for a Hampton Inn…Clean, Quiet and Comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 July 2011

Arrived at this location, proceeded to the front desk and was checked-in by a very friendly front desk person who also provided recommendations for food and select sights in the area. Check-in was quick and efficient. The lobby was nicely decorated and clean with muted colors. The breakfast area was of medium size and coffee service was available 24/7

I arrived at my room and began my inspection; the room was of large size, clean and neat but unremarkable. The furniture looked new and showed very little signs of wear and tear. The television was small and not a flat screen and the channel selection was limited. The bed duvet was freshly laundered and the bed sheets were white, clean and crisp. Being a frequent business traveler I always check the mattress for any signs of bed-bugs; I found none. The room also had a refrigerator and microwave, all clean and in perfect operating condition.

The bathroom was large, bigger than most Hampton Inn’s I have stayed. Inspection of this area revealed clean, neat and organized with plenty of clean white towels and a good selection of amenities. The shower was clean, had good pressure and the hot water was plentiful. I had no issues what-so-ever operating the shower faucet. It’s a standard faucet and if you have stayed in a hotel previous, you will have no issues.

The bed was comfortable, met my expectations and I had no problem sleeping. The hotel itself was nearly sold out and I heard no noise from the exterior or the corridors. The hotel was very quiet. The HVAC quickly cooled the room but was a little louder than I would have liked but, to be fair, I am a light sleeper.

The desk/work area was good with recessed lighting; the desk chair was comfortable and the wireless internet was acceptable.

The pool is interior and of average size. The workout room was small and had only 3 pieces of equipment but they were high-end and met my needs. Both areas were clean, neat and enjoyable.

This hotel is located in North of Columbus. Several restaurants are nearby and many with-in walking distance. This hotel also sits 9 miles North of Gemini Place so if none of the restaurant selections are acceptable this retail area has a vast number of choices. Just ask the front desk for more information.

The breakfast is what you would expect from this chain, good but nothing great. The only complaint I had is they were out of peanut butter for my morning English muffin but I would assume this has been rectified.

Would I return, Yes, would I recommended, Yes. This hotel met all of my expectations for a Hampton Inn property, clean, quiet and comfortable. This is a very good choice if you need to be North of the city and very pet friendly. $107.10 room + $7.23 State Sales Tax + $3.21 County Hotel tax + $3.21 Township Hotel tax, totaled $120.75 for a Wednesday night in June, 2011. A competitive rate for Columbus, OH.
