At the end of a week long road trip, this was the perfect last evening's stop. It was a large, comfortable, clean room with strong A/C during a heat wave, a gorgeous flat screen tv, and it was quiet. The only cons I can even think of are that the bathroom was a bit shabbier than the rest of the room (not enough lighting, showerhead was crusted with lime, toilet seat had an issue) but the room was amazing. The breakfast was really nice with a comfortable seating area and friendlt attendant. I had heard Holiday Inn Expresses were nice, and I will definitelty return!

Driving into town, this hotel doesn't look great and I grant you that we were very tired after a long day of driving, but we walked in this place and it even smelled clean in the lobby. The front desk help was very accomodating and friendly. We had a first floor non-smoking room and it was very nicely updated and by far the cleanest hotel room I've seen in a long time. Beds are comfortable with tasetful white bedding, choice of soft or firm pillow, and great comforters. Flat screen TV, updated artwork, marble bathroom. Our standard room had a microwave and fridge, which was unexpected. Pool is small, but clean and pool area is nice with a restroom (clean!) and a workout room looking out on the pool area--nice if you want to watch your kids swim while you work out. There seems to be only one vending machine for the entire hotel, so that is not ideal, but the free and quite yummy cookies in the lobby go pretty far in making up for it. Stayed on a Saturday night and it was very quiet. It's a Holiday Inn, so not huge in extras, but what they have is very nice for a comfortable stay.

We had stayed here 2 years ago and found it clean and comfortable. While the friendly breakfast staff still remain, the carpets have become worn and stained in the hallways. We were put in a room on the 3rd floor and if you do stay at this hotel and are a non-smoker, request that you NOT be placed on this floor. There are smoking rooms and the entire hallway smells of smoke. We requested to be put on a different floor and the change was easily made, but a little disappointed that as a Priority Club member was placed on this floor. The pool was cold and we didn't even attempt to get in. With the variety of hotels at this exit, I think we will skip this one in the future.

Two major issues we had:
Crusty stains on the extra blankets they had at the end of the bed. We just threw them on the floor.
Cookie/cracker crumbs all over the place when we opened the pull-out sofa. We replaced the bedding with what was supplied in the closet.

Breakfast the next morning was fine. Very nice lady helping in the breakfast area.
