I've stayed at this hotel several times due to business. I really disliked it with the previous branding and owners. Now, the sleeping area is nicely decorated and comfortable. Fridge in room which is also nice! Staff was very nice and helpful with making my reservation as well. That being said, this hotel still has a ways to go in my opinion.
Bathroom wasn't upgraded at all. Ugly decor, grubby bathtub and curtain. Doors look original (in a bad way) and like they've been painted over about 8 times. Grubby around doorhandles, lightswitches, etc. Hotel corridors were sweltering and had a foul odor. Pool is kinda grubby too, just looked like the walls needed scrubbing.
I've always had a hard time getting around in this hotel too and nothing has changed in that aspect. Hallways are really long, and of all the times I've stayed here, I have yet to find an elevator. It's absolutely miserable lugging bags up and down hot and smelly stairwells.
There was a free breakfast, though I didn't partake. Convenient location off of highway, though there's nothing (shopping or dining options other than the attached Damon's) anywhere nearby that I could find easily.
There's not much choice in Steubenville. I've never been able to try any of the other nearby hotel choices though due to reimbursement limits for work. Quite frankly, I'd rather not stay in Steubenville at all, I'm just not a fan of this area. If I had to come though, this hotel is an ok choice. Yes, I made some grumblings, but I've experienced way worse. I just think they can put in more effort to make it nicer.
