Spent one here with my husband. We did an overnight stay while hitting up Mountaineer casino. For a budget hotel, I was impressed at how clean the place was. Outside in the parking lot, the common areas, and the room itself. The staff does a great job at keeping everything neat and clean.

The room was bright with furniture that was not worn in anyway. Included in the room was a refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave. All were in good shape and clean. I wish they would have had LCD TVs, but its a budget hotel, so that's not really a complaint. The bed was comfortable and the linens were not old or shabby. My only complaint was the pillows. They were little on the small side.

Free coffee was available at all times in the lobby and a free USA Today was complimentary. A free "superstart" breakfast was available, but we didn't try it out.

The surfounding area looked decent. There is a Catholic college right nearby. The trip to Mountaineer casino is about 20 minutes away. There was a main bridge to West Virginia that was closed so my GPS got nice and infused, but we made our way after a few detours..

All in all, we walked away happy. For the price, you cant beat it. If we ever head back to Steubenville, we would gladly stay at Super 8 again.

This is probably the best deal in Steubenville, especially considering that there is only 3 hotels in Steubenville. The rooms are cleaned well and so is the rest of the hotel. The few times I have been here I have seen the housekeeping clean, hallway walls, glass on doors, mopping lobbing floors, and cleaning the stairs. The breakfast is not that great but its OK. Overall I would say that this is a nice place.

The room was alright and clean. There were 2 beds like I want. The AC was working really well if I compare it to certain hotel i've been in my Roadtrip. The bathroom was ordinary, but got all the goods I need so i'm satisfy. The TV was working. The parking is free so is the wi-fi. I was quite impress with the wi-fi, it was working well I didn't get much glitch when I was surfing the Internet. I recommend this hotel, it's a good one.

I have a slightly different review than most of the ones I've seen here. I rate this motel as average.

I am not a smoker and the smell of cigarettes was absolutely overpowering in all areas of the motel. Because this motel and most all other motels/hotels in the $50-$90 price range were all booked (July 4th weekend and a sporting event in the area) I didn't have a choice but to take a smoking room. I had to get a room through Priceline and because of the shortage of rooms in the area I had to pay $68 for the room and a total of $85 after taxes and the Priceline fee.

The lobby was clean though it reeked of smoke. My room was clean but the carpet looked like it badly needed shampooing. Shower had incredible pressure and the climate control was excellent. I was surprised to see a mini-refrigerator and microwave in a motel of this class.

The bed was only fair in comfort, but of course this was not a Marriott or Hilton. What bothered me was what appeared to be mildew on the box spring.

This is a Super 8 so expect the tiny bars of soap that barely last through one shower. The towels were scratchy but not that bad and decent size. The TV was an older tube size but had a decent number of channels. There's a complimentary breakfast in the mornings.

The desk clerk didn't appear very friendly and had a deep gruff voice but she was not bad after starting some discussions with her. She got me checked in within a couple of minutes and the checkout was a few seconds.

Within a few miles there's a mall, restaurants, and a movie theater.

All-in-all not a bad place to stay but because the smell of cigarettes was so incredibly overpowering I personally would not return. I was also disturbed at the high price I paid for this level of accomodation.
