On May 22, 2011, my friend and I were on our way back from Virginia and decided to spend a night a this motel. It was few miles off the highway we were on so it was nice that we didn't have to drive far to get some rest. It was about $50 for 1 night in a smoking room with 2 beds for 2 adults. Leaving our bags in the car we walked in to find out a price. When we walked in the women was on the phone with a friend, didn't hang up. While looking a room up she was still on the phone with this friend laughing and talking. While us, the customers, are trying to ask a few questions of the area. Then she apologizes several times to the person on the phone. We still haven't got our bags and walked into the room. We looked around and saw food wrappers under the bed, live bugs & dead bugs. The place looked like it hadn't been dusted in a few years! We went back to the front desk and spoke now with an middle age man. He gave us a new room. We went to the new room with again the same problem. We then went back to the front desk again asking for a refund. He refused and came up with us to 3rd room now. Went in their with the same problem as the first 2 rooms but this room was worse, their were piles of dead bugs! Absolutely disgusting! We then demanded a refund. After 3 rooms and the employee even saw what we were seeing! We got refunded but had to pay a $6 housekeeping fee! First off we didn't bring in our bags! We were in each room 5 minutes if that! Plus we are finding all these housekeeping problems, what is our $6 really going to? If I could rate this place as 0 instead of 1 I would!
We wanted to stay because they were cheaper but a few miles up the road was a Comfort Inn. We payed $85. Yes it was more money that we didn't want to spend but honestly worth it. Stayed in a clean room with a friendly stay who talks to you and answers your questions! Better than a staff that ignores you and has a dirty, awful place!
