Hotel is well appointed and beautifully decorated. Lobby and breakfast areas are quite large and homey feeling including a fireplace and several TVs. Room (we had a King) was clean and quite large with a pull-out twin-size bed loveseat, an arm chair, as well as a large desk and rolling office chair. Indoor pool area is huge, very clean, lots of umbrella tables and chaise lounges, with a beautiful painted mural on one large wall...quite a relaxing space to chill out a bit. Unfortunately the jets in the hot tub were not working during our entire 10 day stay, which was a big dissapointment :(. We also had trouble with our TV reception, but didn't use it all that much anyway, except for trying to watch the National Championship college football game. A call to maintenance, sent someone quickly, but he was unable to diagnose the problem. We ended up going down to watch on one of the lobby TV sets. A note later from the hotel said that they are in the process of replacing something to remedy this issue, but that didn't help us during our stay. As is typical of LaQuinta chains, they offered a very nice breakfast with eggs, sausage, make-your-own waffles, biscuits, gravy, and various cereals, breads, muffins, fruit, yogurt, and spreads. We were, however, disappointed that they reduced the offerings on the weekends as the cooked eggs and sausage was not available then when we had the most time to just sit and enjoy a large, leisurely breakfast. This left the choices leaning quite heavy in the carbohydrate area unless you simply settled for a cold breakfast. Also, the coffee in the breakfast area machines was usually cooling off by the end of the scheduled breakfast time as it did not seem that the containers kept it very hot long enough. At one point during the week, we had friends drop off something for us at the front desk and the desk never contacted us to get it to us. In their defense, our daughter had made the reservation in her name, but the hotel had our credit card and car information and could have easily connected the dots had they tried. Our friends asked if we'd gotten what they left a day or two later and we had to inquire about it at the front desk in order to retrieve it. Coffee makers in the rooms were replaced during our stay and the new ones were awful...one serving, by the cup. Way too small and the coffee it made was WAY too weak. When we tried to put an extra pak in to make it stronger, it overflowed all over the tray underneath it :(. Our dog was welcomed w/o question and overall we had an acceptable stay for the rate that we paid. One of the nicer LaQuinta's we have stayed in..
