“Our Cincinnati Favorite”

great location near lots of great restaurants. My wife and I like it's location...less than half an hour to Downtown Cincinnati, and less than a half hour from Waynesville antique shops. We really like the Max and Erma's bar connected to the building. It's open until midnight or 1 a.m. When the kids are with us, the indoor pool (although a bit small) is very nice. It's not the most modern hotel, but it's clean and suits the needs of a working class family like ours.

“An older property, but a good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

Just had a 2-night stay, and we found it comfortable and accommodating. We were traveling with our dog, which limits options. The $35 fee would have been too much for one night, but i accepted it for two. The room was large, with the expected HI bed and linens comfort. One of the last remaining tube TV's in the hotel world. We actually had a problem with our room--no cold water in the shower--but it was dealt with so quickly and politely, I won't quibble about it. Desk staff were very accommodating, and for Priority Club status, gave both of us free breakfasts, which almost covered the pet fee. If you don't take the breakfast buffet, be prepared to wait. Max and Erma's is understaffed on Saturday a.m. But staff was very nice.

Room Tip: Higher may be better. The elevators are old and noisy!

We appreciate your stay at our property and the feedback you provided us. I'm glad overall you had an enjoyable experience and we will strive to correct the problems you experienced with the water and the wait in the restaurant. We hope to see you back in the future.

“Nice hotel with friendly staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2011

The hotel was nicely appointed and the staff was very friendly. The pool water was warm - which was great! The pool, however is in weird location - basically in the lobby area with big windows all around it. You feel like your the display in a zoo! The front desk was able to provide correct directions to several places that we inquired about. The only negative was that when we went to leave, we had to wait 10 minutes for an elevator. I'm not able to climb stairs, so waiting was the only option. Not sure what the problem was.

“Great location okay hotel”

We reserved the queen smoking room as a place to crash after a night at King's Island Halloween Haunt. It really is just a place to crash. Check in was fast and the help is extremely friendly. We get our key cards and head up to the 11th floor. The elevator was clean but had seen much better days. Get to our room and our key cards do not work. A very nice man from housekeeping tried his card and it wouldn't work either. So back down to the front desk we go. We receive another room and the door works but evidently no one was notified we moved rooms because housekeeping started to walk right into our room to finish "spraying", after he left it did smell better. The wallpaper was coming off in several places but overall very clean and everyting was nice. Extremely quiet, I couldn't tell you if there was even anyone on our floor it was that quiet. Vending machines needs serviced.

“Average hotel in convenient location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2011

First things first, I booked this hotel on Priceline and got a great price. I requested a hotel in the Blue Ash/Montgomery area, and this hotel is in Sharonville. We were VERY lucky this hotel was in a safe and convenient location to where we needed to be. However, this could have been a SERIOUS ISSUE in another city. (Priceline bookers beware and take note of this.) Last time we used Hotwire and receive a beautiful room in Blue Ash for just a few bucks more.

Now with that off my chest, on with the review of the SHARONVILLE area Holiday Inn....The hotel is conveniently located right off 275 and is close to restaurants, gas, shopping and minutes away from King's Island.

The hotel is connected with a Max & Irma's restaurant which serves a breakfast for an additional cost. (around $10 pp) The breakfast offerings were plentiful, but the eggs and other items were COLD and we felt it was not worth it. At the very least, this should be included as a free breakfast with stay. There are many other great, both fast food and table service restaurants just minutes away that will offer better HOT options. We highly recommend the Original Pancake House in Montgomery which is a few minutes away. Its superb.

We booked 2 rooms, one King for my husband and I and the other Double for our two older sons. Both of the rooms were clean and there was plenty of space. There is a microwave, frig and free wi-fi, as well as a desk and couch in the King room. The beds were comfortable.

The lobby area was clean and the hotel has both an indoor and outdoor pool which we loved and used several times throughout our stay. This property is an older one and in need of some updates like some HDTV flat screens and new tile and tubs in the bathrooms as well as some standard cosmetic issues throughout, but overall was sufficient for our needs. We were not looking for a deluxe resort, just a clean, safe, convenient place for a weekend get a way with the family. This hotel did the job.

I think the two most positive features of this hotel are the location to 275 and the pools.
