My husband and I were traveling on business. Due to where we work, we are up very VERY late, and sleep til the afternoon. Apparently, "Do Not Disturb" means nothing to the staff at this hotel. For 2 days in a row, the maintenance manager woke us up to ask if we were checking out. We were booked for 5 days. After complaining to the front desk about this, the maintenance manager knocked on our door again asking if we had a cat. We do, but as there were absolutely no signs saying no pets, and no one said anything as we were checking in (bear in mind - they have a very open layout, so it was fairly noticeable when we walked in with a wiggly kitty), we were not aware this was an issue. He told us to either "get rid of the cat" or check out immediately. I was livid, so I began packing my bags. Five minutes after he last came to the door regarding our pet, he knocked AGAIN, asking "have you gotten rid of the cat yet?". What the hell??? Yeah... we just threw her out the window. Ugh. Anyway - after packing up the car, and making reservations at the RedRoof Inn down the street, I went to speak to the front desk regarding the matter. I was presented with a business card for the manager. I called the number - guess what I got? The front desk. Perfect. Long story short - do not stay here unless you don't mind rude employees, being woken up, broken glass outside the doors (that just aggravated me - clean it up, please), and a free "hot breakfast" that is really just a few bagels and muffins.

Oh - nearly forgot - the elevator has been broken for nearly a week. Unless you enjoy lugging your things up stairs - stay on the first floor if you insist on using this hotel.

I apreciate your stay with us but I would like to express that when you made your reservation with us that it was expressed then that our hotel did not allow pets. Usually, guests that have pets call us before check in to ask about this policy. I apologize for Housekeeping and maintenance knocking on your door with the DND on it, but you made your 2nd reservation at 1:15pm online but thats past our check out time so thats why thay were knocking.

As far as breakfast goes, we have Belgium waffles that you prepare yourself and we have fruit, cereals, juice as well as the muffins, dainsh and cinnnamon buns. and the elevator is up and running now sorry if you were inconvienced.

I arrived at the hotel on 12/26 and was checking out 12/31 and booked through a travel website. I checked in and went to my room and found that there was 1 queen bed for two 260lb men. I went to front desk and told them I needed two beds they said sorry we don't have any left I explained I called and the guy (Dan) I talked to when I booked my room 3 months ago said would not be a problem. The Ladie at the front desk said I will need to talk to my manager about this.Two hours later she still could not get a hold of the Manager. We had to leave and go find another hotel!

I apologize for not being able to give you two beds. Unfortunately you made your reservation through an online top secret rate. We called the company you made your reservation through and the company called you to explain that your reservation does not guarantee a room type. We were sold out of two beds because of a group that booked all two beds in the hotel.

I'm a repeat traveler, and Dan-O gets kudos for great customer service. I'm in a wheel chair and he remembered how I need the room set up. He did it for me before I even got to the room. (close the blinds, move the recliner so I can get to the thermostat, etc.)

It's been a consistently great place to stay!

“Great Stay!”

My husband and I stayed here for two days. I booked the room on their website for only $54/night We were a bit reluctant at first with such an awesome priced room and we were not expecting much. We were more than pleased with our room, check in was fast and friendly, and they even upgraded us from 2 queens to a king at no charge. We also ordered our zoo tickets on their website( only $14 per ticket...the Zoo's website sells them for $24 per ticket) and they were there waiting on us at check in We found the room more than satisfactory. Plenty of room, free wi-fi, comfortable bed and an abundance of pillows! There was no huge flat screen TV but we had our laptop anyway and did not spend much time watching TV anyway. There was also free cable with HBO. The free breakfast was nice, nothing to write home about, Just a basic continental breakfast, a nice variety of cold cereals, muffins, bagels and make your own waffles. There was apple juice, orange juice, coffee and milk and a nice bowl of fruit. For the price of the room, this really was a nice bonus. My review would had been just as positive if there had been no breakfast at all. If you want to really have a big breakfast and fill up, there is an IHop down the street. Another nice thing was the refrigerator in the room, after a 3 hour drive it's nice to be able to keep your cold drinks cold.Everything was very clean, it is an older hotel but they really take pride in the place and it shows! We will be looking forward to staying here again next time we visit the Cincinnati area!

“Great Hotel and Staff”

The price was right and my room was perfect. After reading some reviews talking about tobacco smoke smell I was getting nervous but once I walked into my room it was perfect. Room was clean, smelled great and all the normal things were in order. Staff was really nice and helpful. My only small complaint would be noise, you can hear people talking in the hallway, but it was during normal hours so it was not a problem for me. Shower was great, mini fridge was good and the bed sleep very very well and I had 3 extra pillows if I ever needed them. Chair was comfy and the desk gave me plenty of space to use my laptop. The free breakfast was nice, you had waffles, bagels, cereal and of course coffee, juice, tea, and water. Over all great place to stay.
