We checked in to a room with a semi-functioning air conditioning unit. We requested maintenance or a change in room. We came back to find a replacement unit and a much more comfortable room.

Most of the amenities are nothing special. The staff is courteous. The showers were peculiar. I'm 5'9". The shower head was no higher than 5'5". I have never found myself having to crouch to use a shower before, so this was pretty strange.

Not an awful place but you get what you pay for, an average place for a reasonable cost within decent proximity to everything.

We stayed at this hotel with low expectations, knowing it was a budget place. The location is good, fairly close to Cedar Point and has a few restaurants within walking distance.

The rooms had a VERY strong smell of mildew, which was almost unbearable. The room was large and beds were comfortable, but overall the hotel is in need of maintenance. We did not venture into the pool.

For $100/night this place is very overpriced.

After checking into our room we discovered the room had a funky smell and the bathroom was not clean. I put bath towels on the entire bathroom floor so I wouldn't have to step on it and showered in my flip flops and walked in the room with them on as well because the carpet was filthy. While I was in the shower my husband said when you get out get dressed. He discovered the floor near the air conditioner was soaking wet and was moldy smelling. He went to the front desk to complain and they told him it was due to the rain. We demanded to be moved to another room in which we were. Got to the room right next door and the same thing, dirty, floor was wet by the air conditioner and smelled moldy. Checked out immediately and checked into another hotel. Worst experience ever at a hotel! Do yourself a favor and pay the extra money for a clean environment.

We had spent the day at Cedar Point Amusement Park and chose the Days Inn because they offered a discount. It was extremely dirty. The carpet in our room was so dirty, we left our shoes on except for sleeping. The room smelled awful and there was something splashed all down the window and had puddled at the bottom. The drain in our tub was plugged and the tub was dirty. It is a very old and rundown hotel.

We didn't try the free breakfast because we couldn't stand the thought of eating anything that came out of that hotel.

The only good thing about out hotel experience was that we checked in late and got up and left really early.
