Absolutely, without a doubt, hands down the WORST hotel stay we've ever had! The check-in clerk was completely rude and miserable. If she is the first thing that a potential guest has to deal with - that alone would be reason enough to find other accomodations. The room was filthy - we were hit with an overwhelming musty smell as soon as we walked in the door. There were crumbs in the bed my kids turned down - meaning the sheets were never changed or washed from the people before us! We were told there were NO refunds because we booked online. The next night we were kept awake by the people in the room above us for more than hour AFTER I called the front desk to complain. My husband and oldest daughter woke up with bug bites all over them after the second night! We were refused a receipt upon checkout - again we were told because we booked online. This hotel claims to be a resort, but are nothing more than a trashy dive! I am reporting them to Days Inn corporate, the BBB and health department in Sandusky. I won't rest until they are shut down! If this was the last hotel on earth, I'd sleep in my car! Stay away from Days Inn Sandusky - trust me!
