This was by far the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at. If it weren't for the fact that it was booked and paid for by a family member I would have demanded my money back and left. Let me start by saying we weren't expecting a great room, just somewhere decent to sleep and shower before and after a day at Cedar Point and a place close enough that I could take my young boys to nap and swim if they got tired while the other adults and kids stayed at the park. Needless to say I stuck it out for the full 12 hours with my 2 and 4 year old because we did NOT want to spend any more time in the room then necessary. The most pressing issue by far is the cleanliness of the rooms. We were in one room and we had family in the room next to us and both rooms were equally dirty so I can't even give them the benefit of the doubt. My family next door found a french fry and half eaten candy bar behind the nightstand and a bug in one of the beds that we determined was not a bedbug but was still in fact a bug but I will not speak any more on their behalf. In our room our lamp would not turn on, there was a LARGE wad of someones hair on the sheets, the walls clearly had large holes in them at one time that had just been covered with spackle and left at that, the tv was either blaring loud or there was no sound at all, the chair had a strange stain on it that I won't even try and guess about, the in room safe that is recommended by the owners that we use to ensure our belongings are safe would not lock and for that matter our room door did not close and lock properly, one of the beds in butted up directly next to the air conditioning we froze all night while the kids were comfortable. I couldn't figure out why there were pieces of plaster all over the bathroom floor and in the tub. Turns out the shower curtain bar was practically ripped out of the wall so the shower curtain wouldn't stay closed, it would just fall back to the middle. A few doors down from our room was the ice room and in that room was a huge overflowing bag of garbage that was left by the staff and a broken ironing board and the door to the boiler room/cleaning service room was left open and my kids wandered in there at one point. Now lets talk about the "continental breakfast". I was not expecting the waffle iron and all the fancy things that come in the nicer hotels but this was pathetic. I was hoping for at least a bagel or a banana!! But I could live with what we were given if it was ever stocked. The coffee was always brewing and never ready, we found the bowels in the cabinets ourselves since on one restocked them and in fact when one woman asked if there were anymore she was told "yeah they are in that cabinet" by a staff member. But the icing in the cake was today when I went down to grab a glass of milk for my son. I realize that breakfast ends at 9:30 and it is very possible that I was there at 9:31 but there was another person there. The same staff member I mentioned earlier (didn't catch her name but she did have one tattooed on her neck...) was filling the cereal bar and the other woman had 2 bowls of dry cereal and was waiting for milk and coffee (which was, of course, brewing) So after being totally ignored by the staff member she finally asked if there was "any chance of getting milk for the cereal" and was told that she could have 2 cups of milk. I didn't realize that breakfast was over so I said "oh did they run out of milk" because that was what I was waiting for and she informed me that she was told breakfast was over even though she was there before 9:30 and had been waiting. At that point I decided my son would have to deal with apple juice instead but when I went to fill the cup the juice machine was off even though I had just gotten a cup of juice when I arrived for myself and drank it while waiting. When the staff member returned with the milk I asked her if I could get some juice and she told me that she turned it off because "she didn't mean to sound rude but breakfast was over and she turned if off because she didn't have time to clean out the crud (her word not mine) in the catch because she had to get cleaning 100 rooms which was part of her shift". The woman then asked who it was who cleans her room number because it was filthy and I also made a comment about how long it could possibly take to clean the rooms because they were not clean. Now I will say that shedid fill the juice cup for me to make sure I didn't spill. On a positive note the pool seemed ok and the beds were sorta comfy and there was good water pressure. I am so sorry to have to leave such a horrible review of anything but this place was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
