The staff at this resort are all very friendly and service was very quick for getting extra items. Check in was very long but the desk staff were very friendly even though some guests were not very friendly to them.
We had a King Lodge suite which was very nice and the kitchen was very well equipped for our stay. Take salt and pepper though, there is none in the kitchens. Rooms were very clean. They could have provided more towels in the rooms at the beginning but we asked for more and it was no problem at all and they came very quickly. The fireplace was nice as well and it was great to come back to the room after being at the waterpark and warm up by the fireplace. Lots of seating in the room and a large table for eating. Bed was pretty comfy for a hotel. Heating/cooling is separate for each unit and that was a plus.
The waterpark was awesome. It was clean and the staff were friendly and they did a great job taking care of the kids who's parents just dumped them in the park for the day. There are reasons they ask that kids 14 and under are not in the park by themselves. Leaving your four year olds by themselves in a waterpark is asking for trouble in my opinion but there were many many parents who did just that.
My only big complaint was the guests. We seemed to be in party central and had guests partying in the hallway, knocking on doors in the middle of the night, screaming kids playing football in the hall because the parents told them to do it there as they were trying to nap, drunks screaming between rooms, banging doors as they went in and out of rooms drinking. I felt like I was in a frat house except these were grown adults with children. The room beside us had three children under the age of 7 left in a room by themselves as their parents went partying. The kids were screaming and fighting so much I thought one of them was being beaten. The father seemed unconcerned when he came back to the room at 1:30am and we asked them to quiet it down. He thought everyone should be up with them partying and asked us if we really wanted to go to bed at 1:30am. Yes, we sure did but couldn't because we were listening to your three kids fight.
The restaurant inside the waterpark was pretty good for theme park food and not too expensive. It was the only place we ate at in the resort.
There is a hot tub for adults only and it was very nice, had an outdoor area and a swim up bar. It was nice to get away from some of the kids and noise in the main part of the park for a bit.
All in all it was a very nice place, I doubt I will go back only because the other guests ruined it for us. While I don't expect never to hear our hotel neighbours I would think adults should be more respectful and not scream and yell and drink like they are frat house students in the halls. I really felt uncomfortable in my room because of these guests and was actually afraid to ask them to tone it down as they were so drunk and aggressive.

Thank you so very much for taking the time to review our Resort! While I am thrilled to hear you had a great time and enjoyed the waterpark, I am discouraged to hear about your unfortunate encounter with other guests. We typically have wonderful guests, so I hope you will give us another try and be able to have the full Kalahari Experience. I will be sure to pass along all of your kind words to our teams and also, pass along your comments of your negative experience to security. Hopefully we will have the opportunity of having you again! Thanks again!
