This was our second trip to the La Quinta....we stayed there last year and our stay wasn't too terrible...a few small things like housekeeping leaving someone's clothes in our room from the previous occupants...but this week we stayed there 2 nights and we will not be staying there again. The first night we pulled out the sofa bad and it was awful....seemed broken. Very uncomfortable and just unacceptable. I went down to the front desk (of course it was late at night) and the 2 people working the desk were not very polite and I told them about the bed and the girl said "so what do you want me to do?" I inquired about moving us to another suite and was told they had availability but the room was going to be more than what we were currently paying (we had a king bed, double bed, and pull out sofa in our room). They were not apologetic in the least and when I told them that since we were not satisfied with the current room I didn't think we should have to pay extra money for another room. The guy working looked at me, rolled his eyes, sighed and then said "fine". I was not happy with their reactions.
We just decided that we would stay in the current room (my husband said he would sleep on the sofa bed) and when we went to the front desk the next morning to get a key reprogrammed, the guy who had been working at night was still there. When he saw me, he didn't say a word and in fact, he quickly walked into an office room...not saying anything to me.
I forgot to mention that when we got back to our room the second night, there was not one towel in our room....nothing. Had to go back to the desk and ask for towels.
