Traveled to the Breaker Express from October 8 to 10 as part of the Halloweekend package which is a great deal. Previously we stayed at the Sandcastle Suites and Hotel Breakers which are great choices due to their location however come with a price tag. Rooms and amenities are similar to the other Cedarpoint hotels outdoor pool is available the hotel is located near a McDonald’s, a Dairy Queen and a 5 to 10 min drive to Sandusky’s restaurant and shopping area. Patrons of the hotel have free parking at Cedarpoint and access to the park an hour prior to general public. The rooms were clean we didn’t have the chance to try the on sight pool so I cannot comment. Service at checkin was great detailed information on local restaurants, directions and hotel amenities were provided . The only draw back from other Cedarpoint owned hotels is it’s location, traffic at closing time is crazy so allot a 45 min to an hour drive. Otherwise 5 min drive to the park entrance. At a 25% rebate compared to the other Cedarpoint owned hotels it’s a steal as long as you don’t mind the uncoordinated parking fiasco and wait at closing time. Then again you had to wait for rides all day so you should be more than patient by the end of the day. Also note that during the Halloweekends the hotel has a strict check out time as the hotel closes for the rest of the week. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay.
