After spending a day at Put-In-Bay we weren't up to driving too far, so we stayed here. It was easy to find off a main highway, and there was plenty of parking. I didn't pay for the room, I used 14,000 Wyndham Rewards points. As this is considered a 3rd tier hotel for using the Rewards, I was expecting something special. However, it turned out to be a regular room--I'm guessing the prime location was the justification for so many points. Nevertheless, we had no complains with the room. It was clean, we had enough space, and best of all the front desk clerk actually knew our next stop--the Sandusky Merry Go Round Museum--definitely recommended; a real treat--and she was able to give us PERFECT directions. What a rarity! She saved us a lot of time, as she took us a back way. In addition, the air conditioning unit was dripping very badly and when I reported it, she immediately came down to check it out herself. She apologized and gave me some old towels to put on the carpet. Overall we were very impressed with her service and concern. Unfortunately I don't know her name but we stayed on a Sunday night; she was perhaps in her 30s or so. This Super 8 has a gem of an employee and I hope they know it! On another note, the complimentary breakfast was OK; the standard items, nothing fancy. It's a small area and gets crowded very quickly. Get there early for a seat. There was an attendant who kept a keen eye on supplies; as soon as something was running low, she filled it right up. So overall, very good service at this motel.
Room Tip: In the height of tourist season we had no problem using our Wyndham Rewards points
