Christopher who checked us in was very nice.We stayed in Rm 116 and it was a very nice room,the beds were nice and firm,the room's heater worked very well the room had a small fridge and microwave in it. it was very adequate for sleeping in for 2 nights.
Parking is first come first served and if you leave to go to the the mall down the road you may lose your spot. A parking spot right in front of your room door cannot be guaranteed but the furthest we parked away was like Rm 120 I believe;

We checked into our room, put our luggage in, and left to go visit relatives, our room was right next to pool, and as we left we noticed there were only men at the pool and the one we saw entering the pool had an ice bucket with beer bottles in it. Came back around 10pm to find no parking. Asked office guy what I'm supposed to do and he said park wherever and walk. Not gonna happen with 1 yr old and daughter in law. Soooo many drunk people, only female I saw was stumbling down sidewalk. There were weird guys who had obviously been drinking going in and out of the office (I assume theres a restroom in there), and I'm not even sure if they were staying at the hotel or just there to party....had to argue with the guy to give me a refund (he said had to charge one night)..finally he did...it took us 2 hours to find another hotel, but we ended up at econolodge and it was well worth the additional money, we had 4 nights planned to stay and no way was gonna last at the Best Value Inn. I believe its all construction workers staying there....not an environment for ladies/kids traveling or families.

I love the "charm" of this motel, but it's old school.......stinky old smoking rooms.
If you have a tobacco allergy or other allergies, bring your Claritin. I always book
a non-smoking room but this is "smoking country" and always has been. It's the
old Knights Inn in St. C and I love it's location. I try to stay there annually when I'm in
St. C for the family reunion. Best Value Inn has nicer locations, even in my town of
Richmond,VA. The company should put some $$$ into the place because it's
so darn cute. I love to sit outside on their picnic tables and watch the traffic on
I-70 , tranquil place. But PLEASE update mattresses, cleanliness, and fix
the non-smoking rooms...replace the carpets. It would be a great value for
me as I'm in town annually and love that I can get a kitchenette room and
not have to buy every meal out. LOVE the charm....hate the mess. Lots of contractors stay there so it's quiet in the daytime once they've all left for the day. One washing machine, one dryer and usually contractors are washing their dirty jeans in the washing machine, so bring your bleach if you plan to use the washer.

If you are looking to take your sweetie on a get away, this may not be the place for you. But, if you are looking for a nice clean place at a great price to kick you boots off for the night, I highly recommend this one. The rooms are a bit older, yet they have been well maintained. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. The folks at the front desk were fabulous, they were friendly, happy and worked with us on a great price for extended stay Great coffee and morning fresh doughnuts, there wasn’t anything real healthy to eat if your into that, but those doughnut sure where good.
