“Stay somewhere else.”

Forced to stay here for a soccer tournament. Not only is the entire hotel stuck in the 80s, the rooms are dirty. There was honestly something growing on the wall behind the door in the bathroom. No elevator meant we had to lug all of our luggage up a flight of stairs. They still offer smoking rooms so the hallways smell like a cigarette. "Double" beds were barely bigger than a twin. Super small tube TV. Ice machine on 2nd floor was broken. And I paid $99/night. Total rip off.

“Used to be a Holiday Inn but it didn't meet their standards”

We stayed here for 7 days in Feb 2011 and rented 2 adjoining rooms. We relocated to the Cleveland area and the hotel was appealing to us because we have 5 rambunctious boys and the former Holidome with games, pools, mini golf, and climbing tower was going to be great in the dead of winter after long days of house hunting, address changes, etc... plus the price was good $80 a night but no free breakfast was advertised. Well, the place was a mess. We changed rooms 2 times because the showers didn't drain, the rooms were really dated (old carpet, mildewy bathrooms, old tvs) and the play area is HUGE but disgusting. The pool and hot tub had visble dirt on the bottoms, the games took our money (we did get it back from the desk), and I gave my little kids a shower after each play in the tunnels.

This place could be so nice and a great place even for local families to stay because there are ski resorts close by. Just small things would make a difference like the tables and chairs in the atrium are all different styles and colors and look tacky, replacing the carpeting, painting the walls, and giving the place a good scrub down to get all the nooks and crannies especially in the atruim and the bathrooms. The builiding is not in disrepair it is simply neglected.

I give kudos to the staff because they were really really nice and they made our stay tolerable. We ended up getting coupons for free breakfast in the restaurant when we checked in. The meals were large portions for our troop of boys and again the wait staff was friendly.

This place hosts a lot of conferences there seemed to be a different one everyday and quite a few trucks would stop for the night. We didn't see many families and had the place to ourselves most of the time.

Room Tip: If you have kids you can get rooms that walk out into the atrium which is convienent. if you get on...

“Spent most of my time grossed out!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2011

I needed a hotel room while training at the local police academy and picked this place off the net. First, the place looked dark and scary when I first arrived but the front desk staff was very nice and helpful. The woman at the desk gave me an upgrade to a suite because the hotel is empty. I took a quick tour of the building and noticed that there would be a lot of things to do with children (big toy, pool, games, ping-pong, etc.).
Nonetheless, I spent the rest of the night grossed out by the dust covered fixtures, the filthy un-swept carpet, hair in the bathroom, the stained sheets and pillow cases (Lord, I hope they were stains and NOT just dirty), and the beat up furniture/walls. Anyone else would have left; however, I was just too exhausted to try to find a new hotel this late at night. In addition, the people who run the hotel van sat outside and talked until midnight. The highlight was washing my face in the morning and noticing a piece of dental floss on my towel. The problem was that I didn't pack dental floss!!
Don't stay here!!

“Great location and great staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 September 2011

Very large facility, clean room, clean bathroom, high shower head, great pressure from shower head, firm bed and real breakfast in the restaurant. Plus very quiet.

“We loved it and are going back again”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 July 2011

We picked this place specifically with our kids in mind, after a 5 hr drive we thought it would be perfect to break up our road trip. It has a jungle gym, 2 pools, mini golf, ping pong, and pool. It is a bit shabby but our kids don't care. The room was great and even had a mini fridge and microwave. Great deal for the money and the kids weren't disappointed. We are staying there again tomorrow on our way home.
We did have breakfast in their restaurant and that we won't do again, fair prices but the food was not very good.

Room Tip: we prepaid for our rooms on Expedia, only $60 a night
