“"We loved it and we will be back"”

My family and I (as well as daughter and son-in-law), and my daughter's 2 In-laws, rented a total of 3 separate rooms in this hotel for a short family stay outside of Columbus over the June 9, 2011 weekend.

Firstly, the rooms were neat and clean with nice furnishings and views. The airconditioning systems were cold or as cold as you liked ! Room temperatures and controls were totally adjustable by the room occupants.

The daily cleaning services performed in each room by the hotel staff were
exemplary with additional toiletries and towels readily available at any time.

The hotel outdoor swimming pool was beautiful and kept clean and neat by Hotel management at all times. Also, it was kept in excellent condition.

The hotel offers various desirable amenities such as Restaurant and Bar, Swimming pool, etc.

The food in the Hotel Restaurant was very, very good.

The available room rates were more than competitive; they were better than reasonable ! A bigger "value for the buck" would be hard to find this close to the city of Columbus, Ohio (downtown appox 10 miles away).

The Hotel is managed by a "Hands-on" management team
comprised of the Hotel Owners. Pride of 0wnership is clearly reflected here and
in their treatment of Hotel Guests.

Their attitude and treatment of me and my and our families was superb !!!

I would highly recommend this hotel to any person or persons
needing accomodations in this area of Ohio.

You probably would not find a better deal anywhere in that area !!!

I very much look forward to staying there again !!!

“Not the best but not the worst”

Check in was quick and easy. Room was fairly clean but a few hairs in tub. That kind of grossed me out. Halls had strong cigarette smell on our floor, but the room was fresh. The bed was not rock hard but not great. The restaurant in the hotel had good food. Really nice service in there. Decent prices when compared to other close places and the fact that we didn't have to leave the hotel to eat. Wish we could have used the pool as it looked really clean. Time crunch kept us from using it.

Beds are small. Security is non-existent. Billing is bad - double billed and "extra" fees.
Pub and restaurant are closed.

“Not as terrible as all the reviews!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 March 2011

I "scored" this hotel on Hotwire and after reading all the horrible reviews online, I almost decided to eat the money and just find something else... I found out Hotwire has dropped its 1-star classification, so a lot of its 2 star hotels are actually lowly 1-star properties. I'd put the Days Inn at 1.75 - The two worst things are NO free breakfast - they DO have coffee makers, microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms, but usually, a Days INn at least offers stale danishes... Also, the reception person explained to me that by the letter of Hotwire's descriptions, because they're within 12 miles from the airport, they're able to claim they're an "airport" hotel - But they're quite a few exits away - and I was confused... It was frustrating to drive from downtown and go way PAST the airport to get to them. That said, the whole trip from downtown Columbus took about 18 minutes... but you pass SO many nicer hotels, it's a little frustrating drive that far for a bargain hotel. The good news is, while everything was old, the room was spotless, the heater worked and the shower was pretty good. The free wifi was rock-solid. I also found the staff very friendly and while it IS walking distance to a strip club, you can also walk to tons of restaurants, an ATM and a few other bars and it's right off i-70East. So as long as you're prepared for an old property, you won't be disappointed - I was there on perhaps the biggeest conventoin weekend of the year and ended up paying about $70 a night with taxes - about $40 cheaper than the next option... so for saving that much money, it was worth it for me - don't be scared off by all the really terrible reviews The "fitness center" was one rickety treadmill and exercise bike - pretty lame. They DO have a bar and restaurant but I didn't see the need to try them when there were real restaurants in walking distance. .

“beware, horrible service and horrible rooms”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 March 2011

We unfortunately had the misfortune of booking a night at this hotel through priceline and not only did we have to wait over 1 1/2 hours for your staff to pull up our reservation but we had to be waited on a rude employee named Mitch, who made it clear that it was OUR fault that there was a delay in our reservation due to the fact that we had used priceline. We were made to feel as though we were inconveniencing them. After the whole ordeal, they were unable to compensate us for our time and inconvenience. I hope that you take a hard look at the people you are employing to represent your hotel.
