“Average at best. But no other choice in Piketon.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2011

If you prefer an American owned hotel, this isn't it. They allow smoking in some rooms and you can smell it in the hallways. Otherwise fairly clean. Tub and shower were in good shape. Parking is good. No restaurant, pool is outdoors, fitness room is basic but adequate. Steady supply of train noise. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

“The one plus: $60 corporate rate”

The only thing I found the Comfort Inn had going for it was the relative price compared to other business-type hotels in the area. As a HHonors Diamond member, I decided to stay at the Comfort Inn due to it being 20 miles closer and half of the price of the Hampton Inn in Chillicothe. Next time, I won't make the same choice.

Upon arriving to the hotel, the first room I was given had not been made up. The bed was still undone, and towels on the floor in the bathroom. Not a great first impression.

The breakfast was often cold, or rock hard due to too much microwaving. Often at 7 am, food would already be out.

The room was decent, however the Internet was spotty the entire time and could not be relied on for anything other than basic web surfing.

If you are looking for somewhere to crash for the night, this place may be for you. Otherwise, I'd suggest looking elsewhere, even if it means a drive.

“It'll get you through the night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2008

Choice Hotels gives it a Gold rating - although it is nice enough, it does not deserve that, because except for a compact refrigerator in the room, there is nothing about this hotel that sets it apart, and there are some negatives.

Parking area layout is so strange, that no guest really gets a parking spot that is convenient to their room. Room decor is like any Comfort Inn. I could hear someone snoring in the room next door, so had to run the air conditioning on "fan" all night to drown it out. Wireless internet works well. Breakfast area is odd and tiny. The eggs are these 4 inch round prefabricated things that have little flavor. Juice selection is unusual, but orange is available.

It is acceptable for a night, and I am grateful to have it, as it is the best place for 20 miles in any direction.

“Great Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2008

I am very happy to say this is a very nice Comfort Inn. The staff was beyond helpful and the rooms were clean and roomy. I requested a king room and to my surprise I got a fridge and microwave, with a complimentary pkg of popcorn with a nice note upon arrival. I can't brag on the staff enough. I can see why this is a Gold property. I will be in the area again in November and will definately rebook here.

  • Liked — The friendly atmosphere.
  • Disliked — I had no issues with this property.

“Very peased with our stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 September 2008

Clean room, fridge, microwave, 4-cup coffee maker, big bathroom, wireless internet, convenient location....what more can you ask?

We were very pleased with our stay at this Comfort Inn and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. We have paid a lot more for hotel rooms in the past for a lot less, so we had no complaints at all about this Comfort Inn. We will definitely stay here again our next trip through Piketon.
