The owners are incredibly nice and hospitable. They accommodated our needs. I highly recommend the non smoking rooms because the smoking rooms are pretty bad when it comes to the smell. We needed an iron and the owners loaned us one. We needed a fridge and got one. It is definitely the bare minimum when it comes to a place to stay but it felt clean and safe for the two nights we were in town for college graduation. If you are used to 4 star hotels this is not the place for you but if you need a clean place to sleep and close proximity to Miami University then this is the place for you. As most of you know its impossible to find a place to stay in this small town for graduation or a big event at the school but at least it was 5 minutes from campus. Some people were staying 45 minutes from the school and I was glad we didn't have that commute. I was there with my husband and 2 year old son and it served our needs. The bathroom came with shampoo and soap. The towels aren't fluffy or full but again, if you are used to hotels then this motel is not for you.

tired and miserable, driving hundreds of mile on a college trip. Saw vacancy sign, so stopped. Only $40.00, what a deal? Anyway, we stayed about 20 minutes, The door didn't shut right, bugs on the walls, and when i looked at the matress and pillows under the clean sheets there were stains and smells that made me want to puke. I returned in my key and headed down the road.. I would have slept in the car and went potty in the woods before i would let my daughter sleep on that filth. Awful, just Awful. I was so upset that i didn't even think to ask for my money back. I just wanted to get out of there.
But it appears that the man refunded my money anyway as i do not see a charge on my account.

We stayed at the Oxford Inn for the second night of parents' weekend because we wanted to be closer to campus. No wonder they had a vacancy! The chain lock on our door was broken, and the window screen was so mangled that it fell out, so we had to keep our window closed and locked. In the shower were bare pipes. It's one of those "mom & pop" style motels, but it's seen better days. I think the owners try to get by with doing as little as possible. For example, while the grass seen from the street is trimmed and mowed, as soon as you approach the office from the side there is seen a little field of weeds. In addition, there is a junk pile in back of the office that can be viewed from most of the rooms. There was no shampoo, no extra blankets or pillows. The owners just don't know what college parents expect in a motel.
