“Good 1 night stay - building needs work.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 December 2011 via mobile

Another road trip stay for us. Location was perfect just off I 70. Room was slightly more worn than average and the bathroom walls and ceiling were in need of repair. We did eat at a fabulous restaurant just across the street named Casa Fiesta. The hotel does have a small workout room which was better than nothing! Nice looking pool & hot tub but didn't use.

“The pools were sparkling!”

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for two nights. We visited Cedar Point over the summer(july) and planned to stay over the weekend. We had originally stayed at a different hotel for the first night but hated it, so we moved to this hotel. After one night, we were pleased with everything so decided to stay another night.

We booked at a little cheaper price - through priceline. But I think they charge such high fees. When we first got to the hotel, the receptionist was very helpful and pleasant. When we booked the room online it gave us the room information as King, Nonsmoking. But when we got to the hotel the only room they had available was the King, Nonsmoking, with Jacuzzi in it! The receptionist originally said that she would have to charge us more because the regular Nonsmoking King and one with Jacuzzi cost different. For the Jacuzzi room it would have cost about $15 more, but I explained that we didn't choose it and the website didn't give us any option about it. I said that if the hotel didn't have the room available, the website shouldn't have put it there. Then she understood what I was saying and gave us the jacuzzi room at no extra cost. That made me happy. I think there was some error or breakdown of the communication between the hotel and priceline.com. The checkout time on the website when I booked the room was noon, but at 11am the front desk person started calling and telling us to get out...I had told them that on the website it says noon and they understood and apologized but still kept on bugging. lol The lobby area was small but clean. In the lobby there was a small breakfast area on the right and next to that they had a indoor pool area.

When we got to the room, it was on the second floor at the end of the hallway. I can't remember the correct room number but it was with all the other smoking rooms. When we first walked into the room, we could tell that the room has been a smoking room for awhile. They had just recently removed the sticker on the door saying smoking. So the smell wasn't too good but we opened the window all the way and let the air circulate. After awhile we got used to the smell and it wasn't too bad. We both hate smoking so if we can deal with it I think others can too. lol
The AC/heater worked very well. I also turned the heater on just to see if it works well. The AC was super cold. When you first walk into the room, you have restroom on your left and a sink on your right. Then you see a bed facing left on the right side and TV and fridge are on the left side of the room. Window is right in front of you on the wall with AC at the bottom. The jacuzzi was on the left side of the window, in its little space alone. The only thing was that when we were in jacuzzi we couldn't watch TV because the TV wouldn't move and the jacuzzi was too far back. But I guess it creates intimacy because all you can do is staring at each others' faces and talking..
The bed was big and comfy- TV was somewhat small and fat. The sheets felt clean and soft. We're very picky about the cleanness of the bed and their bed was clean. We tried the breakfast one morning and it was ok.. nothing special and the lady who was taking care of the breakfast was somewhat unfriendly. She was scary. It wasn't a good interaction with her.

After spending time at Cedar Point we went back to hotel and played in the water in their indoor pool. This part is the best part for me. The pool and whirlpool were SO clean. ESPECIALLY the whirlpool was SPARKLING!!! The water was so clean so you could see the bottom of the pool and it was very clean, residue free. We were very impressed with that and really enjoyed our time in the whirlpool.

So it was Cedar Point - Indoor Pool - then jacuzzi in the room.
We couldn't ask for more! It will be a nice place for you if you love water like we do!!!
I'd definitely recommend this place to my friends. =o]

PS) I forgot to mention the distance from Cedar Point. It was about 18~23 minute drive for us and we drive pretty fast. I think for the price it was worth it to me personally. But it is up to you all!

Room Tip: Their in-room jacuzzi are nice.

“OK,for overnight”

We stayed 1 night, yes this place is showing some age and needs some updating with that said:
Cons: Smells of smoke , not fresh smelling.
Carpets badly in need of cleaning or replacement.
Drain in our room was slow (stood in our own shower water-half way up foot)
Breakfast nothing great, small crowded very limited didn't use.. we went out to eat.
Pro's: Newer linens, the sheets were VERY soft and clean, Towels were soft and fresh.
Pilows were full and clean.
Bed firm and comfortable
Front desk people friendly.
Would have been worth it at $20-$25 less. We drove home @ 11pm after all day at Summit Motor Track, not worth the $100+ staying another night.

“Good experience”

We booked this hotel after walking out of our first hotel. I called their reservation number and the customer service was very helpful over the phone and made the reservation for us. We arrived at the hotel and it was a pleasant surprise. Very clean, professional, and staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The pool area was clean and I have no complaints about our room either. I would stay at this hotel again if in the area.

“Whoa, this place is bad.”

My family stayed one night and all I kept telling my wife and kids was, "I'm so sorry, it's just one night.... We'll get through it." Cobwebs in the corners of the room and underneath the air conditioner, very unclean, musty damp smell in the hallways and rooms, hard beds, small crowded breakfast area. If you're looking for just a place to crash for the night and don't care about where you're staying, this is your place. If you want comfort and cleanliness, look somewhere else.
