I stayed here as it was convenient to the historical sites in Kirtland. It is a very short drive there, although not walking distance for the average person. I wouldn't call it the BEST area in the world, but it wasn't unsafe. When I was checking in, there was a dubious-looking man trying to book a room and a lady of the night waiting outside for him. Or so it appeared. Moments after checking in and driving to his room, several police cars immediately swarmed the premises and escorted the gentleman away. NOT the hotel's fault, but yes, it's the kind of joint where people may be bringing their hooker.

I found the man at check-in to be friendly and accommodating. The many tattoos were a put-off to the family checking in behind me, but hey, it's the book and not the cover... He was more than willing to go out of his way for everyone as far as I saw. The room is not what you would want to see on your honeymoon, but the bed is supportive, the sheets were clean, I actually felt safe leaving thousands of dollars worth of electronics in my car (I was moving across the country). In the morning, everything was there. Shower worked, although the bathroom was tiny. Towels clean. It was 40 bucks... you can't complain.

If you're going to Kirtland and are on a tight budget, I would recommend the place. If your business is in Cleveland, it may be a little far out to be convenient. I was only there one night but I feel comfortable saying don't be put off by the negative reviews--if you want a cheap roof over your head, clean sheets, and service that doesn't bite your head off just for trying to give them money, you'll find it.

I was quite wary of staying here, after booking the room on Hotwire then reading the bad reviews. I've stayed at many different hotels and motels and this one was your standard, inexpensive room. Our room was quite clean and smelled fine, the desk staff was friendly, and we heard little outside noise from the room; more or less the opposite of what all the other reviews state. It was definitely a budget hotel, but certainly not filthy.

This inn is located right next to train tracks and the freeway!
Not to mention the misleading webpage - When I first booked the room online the site listed continental breakfast as one of the amenities. After checking in I asked about the breakfast and was told all that was offered was 24hr coffee. I mentioned the site and the person said I was mistaken. I check the site again after getting into the room as it was already too late to find another place to stay, and it still said continental breakfast. I went to sleep that night determined to talk with someone about it in the morning. That morning I pulled up the site and it had been changed. They refused to acknowledge my complaint. We got in late at night and basically passed out on the beds. In the morning I noticed the stains and just felt gross. Our air conditioner was either on full blast or off no middle ground. Did not try the tv. The shower and toilet were icky, but functioned. Unless you bring ear plugs this place is not for you!

Went to office, requested clean sheets as we were too tired to go elsewhere. None available. Given key to room next door - checked it, dirty sheets; back to office, another key and more dirty sheets! Have written an email of complaint to owner - no response.
