We stayed at the Baymont Inn in Maumee based on 'ok' reviews and the fact that it was an offering from Priceline. I have been a Priceline customer for years; however, this was the WORST hotel experience we have EVER had. First, the hotel is a SMOKING hotel; I didn't think those existed anymore; however, since we arrived late, we could not find alternate accomodations. I have asthma so during our stay there and the day that followed, I struggled with breathing. Second, the hotel was disgustingly dirty. There was blood and long black hair in the bathtub, the carpet had dirt in the corners/edges that looked like it had been there for years, the heater had a powder substance leaking from it, the room smelled like smoke/body odor, the hot tub was dirty and out of order and the pool floor was also dirty. The breakfast was so stale the french toast had mold on it and the worst part was that the employee who worked the front desk (also) re-wrapped all the stale food up in saran wrap at the end of breakfast for the next day! Everything was stale ... bread, french toast, even the waffle mix! The coffee was empty by the time we went for breakfast at 9:15 but there was also no creamer for the coffee anyways. We needed to print something for business purposes but the computer was being used for long periods of time by an employee and the printer had no paper in it. When we finally got on the computer, it had no access to Microsoft Word or Excel!!! I thought that would have been standard for a hotel computer? The bed spread had either semen or snot on it so when we laid down, we covered where we laid down with our clothing. Even the elevator looked like it had not been vacuumed in years. This was such a disgusting hotel; we washed everything that touched any surface in the hotel as soon as we arrived home. The pictures do not accurately portray this hotel; the fitness facility has three pieces of equipment in a space about 8x8 that is quite dirty also. This Priceline experience was quite shocking to our memory ... we will never forget it!
