We got this room as a $40 bid on Priceline, and it was a $40 room. The employees were nice and there were some Christmas decorations in an attempt to make the lobby look festive. Breakfast was fine, the Internet reception was ok, and the location was safe. The whole place is worn down, but it was acceptable for a one-night stop while en route. It wasn't the cleanest hotel I've ever visited but I did not find it as bad as some of the other reviewers. I have a bit of a Howard Hughes complex yet I thought our room satisfactory. Some of the common areas could have used a good vacuuming.

Dirty, shabby, old, tired and inconvenient. I could go on but the weak wi fi makes it a challenge. From the hairs in the tub to the carpet, which was beyond filthy to the outside doors which all opened freely despite signs saying room keys were needed to open them, this hotel needs serious help. My bed had no bottom sheet. Bleh. On the plus side I did not see bugs and the room included a functioning mini fridge and microwave. Front desk guy, Chad, was nice. On the whole, depressing and nasty, even for one night.

We did not choose this hotel our friends did We were up for a National Guard event. It was convenient for that and the staff was very nice.

The first observation was the hotel smelled like smoke as we walked to our room and the halls seemed really hot. My husband said well I guess they don't enforce the no smoking signs. It turns out that the back door to the hotel is cracked ajar with a rock and folks walk out and smoke right outside so that is why it was hot and smoky.

We had requested a fridge with our reservation and no fridge so we called to the front desk, when they delivered it the girl said she didn't know why but they hadn't cleaned it then she opened it and showed my husband and I seemed to get a nasty whiff. She left to go get cleaning supplies and I walked over and opened it my lord , it smelled like something died in there and it was full of dead bugs. I called after her down the hall to come back and remove it. I told her I didn't even want it if they cleaned it. UGH UGH.

The room was just dirty dead bugs in the corners. A squashed mosquito on the wall, something dripped all over the wall outside our door. The bath paper holder was caked with dirt.I turned back the sheets and looked for bedbugs and wow the sheets were tattered and had a hole big enough to put my first in it.

That said the front desk staff was really , really, nice They gave us great recommendations for restaurants, they offered to print some stuff for us and always greeted us a cheerful hello when we walked by.I think they just need some better leadership or training for the cleaners.

We didn't use the pool but the sign said the spa was broken.

Decided to get a couple hours of driving in real late at night to make our next day easier on the way to Pittsburgh. After stopping at a Red Roof Inn (Nasty!) we pulled in to see what type of rate we could receive. The clerk stated $89 was the normal rate but she could do $69 since it was nearly 4:30am. I got her down to $59 and we received a non smoking two double bed room. Perfectly clean and comfortable for a quick nights sleep. The location makes it a very convenient option for those going to 80/90 from US23..
