We stayed at the Quality Inn in Heath, Ohio, primarily due to being the closest motel in the area that we could use our free night points at. The motel appears to be older, possibly from the 1960s or 1970s, with some remodeling. It has 2 floors (outdoor entrances) with no elevator, with 2 buildings connected by a bridge on the 2nd floor.
The grounds in the rear of the motel seemed nice, but the front was not much to look at when you arrived. Our room had 2 double beds (I prefer queen size) and a small table with chairs. There was free wireless internet as well. The bathroom needed updated. We could actually hear people in another room while in the bathroom due to the cheap tile ceiling. We also had some bugs, but not too bad.
The outdoor swimming pool was not heated, as we about froze when using it, when the air temperature was close to 80F. The pool itself seemed old and somewhat in disrepair. This could use a good renovation as well.
The best part of the motel was the free breakfast in a former restaurant. I believe that this hotel may have previously been a Holiday Inn with a restaurant, from its appearance. The breakfast food was fairly good, including hot food.
From observing people at the motel, it appeared that many were not visitors like ourselves, but residents. As there were many young adults (late teens to 20's) hanging around like it was their home. Not sure on that, but that was my feeling.
For a low rate, especially a free night like ours, this motel is fine. But I would not pay over $60/night to stay here, compared to other motels/hotels that I have stayed at.
