We decided to stay at Walton House mainly because of the excellent reviews and we weren't disappointed. I can't really add much to what's been written already but would like to say that tht continental breakfast was the best we have had for a long time.

I found the Walton House by accident--I'd been riding on my motorcycle from the northern regions of Tasmania and had enough for the day--the folks at the Tourist Information bureau in Huonville sent me to John and Tanya's splendid B&B.
I was the only guest on that weekday, and was given #1, which I am presuming must be the best suite. It was huge by hotel standards, and bathed in sunlight from the garden-facing windows. Tremendous bed, and so clean that hotel housekeepers should be sent here for lessons in standards.
Had a fantastic rest(disturbed a bit by early morning traffic noise from the main road in front of the property--perhaps keep your window closed at night) and enjoyed a great breakfast and chat with the owners the next morning.
I haven't done much of the B&B option, but this one has me thinking I should do more investigation. Thumbs up!!
(By the way, the Huon Valley is definitely worth the short trip out from Hobart--orchards, tremendous scenery, and tranquil towns.)

What a gem of a find! Wonderful hosts made our stay most comfortable and welcoming. We stayed in the Mill House suite which was spacious, restful and beautifully appointed. Breakfast was a delight also, cetainly one of the best places we've stayed for a long time. We used Tripadvisor to find the B & B and were not disappointed at all. So many small extras were added in the suite that you didn't think about until you were there but so many little things just enhanced our stay. Could quite happily have spent a week there!!

I'll make it short, all other B&B's should stay here for a night to see how it is done right!
