OMG never ever again first room we were in smelt wet so we asked for another room this room smelt better however I sat on singel bed and felt it slope I then looked under bed a missing castor off the bed and again OMG there was dust that has been there for months other things that previous customer had dropped under bed so I looked under the double bed no better I found lollies and again lots of dust as far as I am concerned rooms are not cleaned well enough and the room was $140.00 I have stayed in much better motels for far less .
This motel and the Windsor Motel ran by the same people needs a refurb the bathrooms are dark, old and grout is just yuk you do not feeel clean after showering here I do not recomend and one to stay here I would rather camp on the river .
Do not do it to yourself look for other accommodation .

We had an excellent stay in this property, value for money and the breakfast was great..

We booked and paid for 8 nights accommodation at the Windsor Terrace Motel. When we arrived we were offered accommodation across the road in the Windsor Motel as we were informed that there were no more rooms available. We presented our confirmation of booking email confirming the room details etc but this didnt help. Both motels are run from the same office.

The rooms available in this new motel were very average and at best would suit backpacker style accommodation. We returned to the desk to question the rooms available and were told that "we were lucky to get a bed at all", I didnt book it, its not my problem". We asked to speak to the manager and were refused.

We returned to the room we had been allocated. We then met 2 new travellers in the car park that had arrived without making a booking and had been offered a room in either the Windsor Terrace Motel or the Windsor Motel. This After we had just been told there were no vacancy's!! These new customers were also offered rooms for less than we were charged for the same level of accommodation ($100 per night for the Windsor Terrace Motel and $80 per night for the Windsor Motel).

Again we returned to the front desk to ask what the problem was and were told that possibly we could move to the room we booked in 4 nights time but until then they had no vacancy available.

We then arranged alternate accommodation and went to check out and when we asked about a refund were told there wouldnt be one. We must have been making some noise at this point as the manager (owner?) turned up and was able to find space available due to some sudden cancellations. The phone hadnt rung while we were standing there to make these cancellations.

We stayed at the Windsor Terrace Motel for the eight nights. The service there was acceptable with the exception of an elderly couple (I assume they were a couple as they were just about clones) who manned the desk. The gentleman (Gary I believe) was the singular most unhelpful, ignorant, arrogant, rude person I have ever experienced in the hospitality industry in the world. I spend at least 3-4 months of every year living from motels and hotels and cant even think of an expereince elsewhere that would come close. His wife was equally ignorant and unpleasant to the point she would not print a bill when we asked for it to query what she was trying to charge for. We just came back the next day to pay for phone calls and the amount was back to what we expected.

During the time we stayed this couple manned the desk approx 50% of the time. The remainder of the time the staff were pleasant and helpful.

Do not stay here unless all the other accommodation in Windsor burns down!!

It was getting towards dusk and we were tired of driving. This little motel was VERY inexpensive and convenient to walk into the village for dinner.

While it is NOT a destination-resort, it is what it is and is definitely good for a stop-along-the-road. It is comparable to an inexpensive U.S. chain motel-----the two beds, the combination bureau/desk, teevee, ok bathroom, and of course (since this is Australia) the fridge and the tea/coffee service. On the upper floor (no extra charge) we had a balcony with two chairs and a little table and a view of the river.

The front desk staff was very friendly. We paid about U.S.$75. Obviously you get what you pay for and this isn't much, but it was fine and quite comfortable for the night. I would recommend it over some of the other places in Windsor because of its nice in-town location.
