I had a very poor experience with this hotel. We booked late in the day on a road trip due to flooding. We made the booking through a web site and drove 50 km's back to the hotel because we could not go any further. When we arrived we were told that our booking was worthless and it was our fault for booking through the internet! I can understand that something may have gone wrong in the booking, but the attitude of the person on reception was arrogant and dismissive. We were tired and did not need to be spoken to like that. My gut feeling here is that they gave the room to someone else at a more expensive rate before we got there and were trying to get out of it.

I would like to point out as well that my credit card has been charged for the non-existent accommodation and I am currently attempting to get that back.

The house is nice, but the emergency door is lock and must use key to access. sounds bad.... The bedroom is good, bathroom is large and new. However, the spare blankets and pillows are on the floor make value run down. The receptionist is not friendly when we need there help.

We expected a 3 1/2 star country motel and got it and this makes me a happy tourist. The motel is not flash or full of modern creature comforts. The furnishings are worn down, old and uninspiring. But the bed was comfortable and we got a pleasant night's sleep. This is what we were hoping for.

This is a small motor hotel in a great little town. Our room was very clean and furnished to the level expected. We were promptly greeted and shown our room.

Tenterfield is a small town but the traveler should take the time to explore it and the many museums and shops. The Railway Station/Museum is not to be missed.

Overall this property is well worth it.
