We were slightly disappointed with our stay here. The fire alarm woke us up at 3am as it was beeping, as it needed a battery change. Of course this is totally out of the the control of the owners. Initially, we could not reach it to turn it off. So we tried to contact the owners (once we went up to the main road to get signal) who were unreachable on their contact numbers. We went up to the 'main' house, but there was no one there? We eventually broke the alarm off the wall at about 4am and could get some pieceful sleep. The owners weren't really peturbed of our incident. When we wrote to complain we didn't get so much as an apology. Bottom line is when you go somewhere pieceful, rustic to sleep, you expect to get some. So, if you don't mind being all on your own - literally, then this in the place for you.
The breakfast was good and the rooms okay. Ours was a bit musty and could have done with a spring clean. The nature is lovely and you do feel like you are literally in the middle of a forest. The intent to be magical is there, but some hospitality would have gone a long way!
