The stayed a Rustic Spirit for a few nights getaway on a recent weekend.
Great location as it's only a short drive from Sydney. The cabin was nice enough, it was almost as if it had passed its hey day though.
It was very tired, not all that much effort put in by the owners..
The bathroom was mouldy and there were cobwebs in the corner..
The ice cube trays were empty on arrival so it was hard mixing up a nice g&t on our first night!
The breakfast hamper was nice, fresh eggs and bacon but the frying pan supplied was so old and grimey that I didn't want to cook on it! I did go to scrub the pan out myself but the piece of scourer supplied was absolutely filthy... The BBQ was the same, so dirty that you just wouldn't want to use it. The loaf of bread in the hamper was 3 or 4 days old so I had to send hubby off to search for some fresh bread.
There was no where to plug an iPod in our cabin but there was an old stereo box and VHS player but we didn't have CDs with us so no music for us. No games either which would have been nice. There was a DVD player with a couple of DVDs but nothing we were interested in.
There was mould on the shelves where the glasses were kept and bedside table had not had a wipe for quite some time. I would of been happy to wipe these things down but there was no cleaning spray and only one chux so I saved that for the kitchen. No spare garbage bag either.. Spa was great, nice outlook, would be lovely if a little effort was put in by the owners. Lovely fire all set up ready to go which was great.
No phone coverage for mobiles (although this didn't bother me as much as hubby!)
All in all I would suggest staying elsewhere until things improve. Great potential but just no love put in to it.
