“What you see is what you get!”

The Navigator Hotel is a no frills hotel but what it does it does very well. The staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. My single room was well cleaned and attended to by the staff, the towels were clean and there was plenty of shampoo/gel available. The TV in the room was well positioned and had plenty of chanels available. The position of the hotel is close to the beach. The full english breakfast was well cooked and plentiful. All in all for the £45.00 per night it is thumping good value.

Room Tip: My room was at the back of the hotel and whilst the view was not great, it was quiet and being in No...

“Good Location Good Hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2011

Stayed 1 night. Parked on the sea fron opposite the hotel. had a single room (4) - clean and functional. No view as the window opened on to the fire escape and a wall although at £45 b&b I wasnt bothered and hadnt requested sea view.

Single bed with duvet, clean , towels and toiletries provided. Flat screen TV. Decor a bit dated but a quiet nights sleep was had and it ticked all boxes.

Bar was buzzing , full of locals from 5pm restaurant looked good with plenty of fresh seafood on offer.

Breakfast - full english was excellent - sat in dining room overlooking the sea.

Overalla good cheap B&B with a bit of character and freindly stahh

“Not luxury, but right on the seafront with an evening restaurant / bar”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 September 2011

I thought this was pretty good value. Don't be put off by the 'pub' appearance of the front entrance which opens on the bar. The place is decorated with sailing paraphernalia and is not meant to be clinically white and clean. The place is not luxurious but it is also not unpleasant. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and the food fine. Not the best room I've ever had but can't complain for the price. Just a slight issue - there was no bedside table but this doesn't affect the rating. In the morning, had my breakfast looking straight out towards the beach which is just across the road.

“want a QUIET Holiday this is the place for you”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 August 2011

Dont think The Navigator should have advertised itself as a hotel, afraid to talk, laugh or watch telly in our room after 9pm. The sign attached says it all.

“Not worth it stay away”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 August 2011

I booked a room in the hotel through laterooms.com who checked with the hotel and then confirmed that there was a room available in the hotel, but when we arrived we were taken to the guest house along the road. This was very tired and not particularly clean and probably worth about half the hotel room rate. This is obviously what they do on a regular basis, as whenever I tried to bring this up with a member of staff, they just ignored me, however the rest of the time the staff were very helpful. Late rooms seem to have removed the hotel from their site and I am taking it up with the local council who I think license the hotel. The food is very nice and as I said the staff are very good, but just give it a miss for staying at.

Room Tip: Stay at another hotel
