I have seen better doss houses.
After a hike along the corridor and up two flights of steps, we entered a room which stank of cigarettes (not marked as a smoking room). The windows were caked in filth and the sill was dirty and cracked.
The sheets were clean but a slight mark showing through made us look underneath to find blood stains on the mattress topper. When this was removed there were stains of dubious origin on the mattress itself.
The bath actually had a half inch hole in the bottom, at some time patched with sealant which had now come adrift.
With the exception of one female bar staff, and the new (totally harassed) manager, service and customer relations were poor to non-existant.
Situated on an out of town industrial estate there is little local amenity and the hotel bars are unwelcoming.

This is one of the most disguisting hotels I have stayed in for £85 per night! The reception staff were uninterested, the corridor stunk of drains, the carpets in areas were threadbare and smelt mouldy. The room was spacious, the curtains were falling down, the bathroom was from the 70's and had mould. The carpet has not seen a hoover and was very dusty, the beds hard. Breakfast was run by an under 16's youthclub who had no idea! We sat down at a table which had dirty crockery and a soiled table cloth. Obviously we expected it to be changed. However, the young lad, placed our clean cutlery onto the table and told us to get coffee over there!(When we went 'over there, there were no clean cups or coffee!!)
Check out was slow. I would never recommend this hotel unless you like unclean, smelly rooms!!!

We were supposed to stay there on 21st october 2006 (Our wedding Night) we were told when we arrived they had overbooked. We were shown to three different rooms of which each was occupied then told we could have twin beds or taxi fare home. Duty manager absolutely appalling couldnt care less. A lady staying at the hotel told the duty manager it was appalling and he did nothing but allowed her to ring several hotels to get us a room. She did get us another hotel but that should not have been up to this kind lady. Would never recommend it to anyone. My sister also stayed on a previous occasion and she recived terrible service also. Simple answer DONT GO THERE)

Hotel arranged by company as meeting was held here. There was an over powering smell of drains mixed with stale tobacco smoke as you walked up the corridor and to the bedrooms. Bedroom was a good size but smelt damp and mouldy. Staff pleasant and friendly. Generally very understaffed. Food distinctly average and cold by the time the single hard working waitress had served our table of 15. This number had been prebooked so we thought that they might have enlisted reinforcements? Overall not a hotel I could recommend unless a major refurbishment is undertaken.
