My wife and I spent two nights in the Parisian Dreams mini-suite in early February 2012. I'll start with the only two negative experiences that we had. The car park has it's spaces marked by long wooden logs rather than painted lines (it is a gravel car park). We found this a little tricky to park in. And second, I am sure the curtain separating the bathroom from the main room is intended to add a touch of fantasy to the room but something more substantial might be more appropriate. Possibly a sliding door or thick sliding curtain in addition to the light curtain?
These very small 'negatives' in no way impacted on our stay and we would definitely visit again.
Otherwise, everything about our room stay was positive. This is a boutique hotel, and unlike one reviewer states it does not look like a bog standard B&B. It is also clear if you read the website that there isn't a 24/7 reception service. What you get are themed rooms and suites, which make the perfect romantic getaway. The bar/restaurant area is also tastefully erotically decorated in such a way that it could never be described as smutty. There is a love swing under the bed, if you don't want to use it...then leave it there!
The Parisian Dreams room was lovely, the bed is huge as is the bath. We had a most relaxing weekend. There's a nice TV angled to be viewed from the bed, with a DVD player as well as a radio and iPod dock. There were candles in the bathroom, a Tassimo coffee/tea machine. Everything seemed to have been thought of.
The staff are all very pleasant and helpful, on check-in we were given a key to let ourselves into the building after hours. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for the staff. We had one dinner and two breakfasts at the hotel, and all meals were of good quality, made to order with great ingredients. If you want something slightly different to a menu item, they'll cook it for you. There is also a huge range of coffee and tea in the bar area to which you can help yourself at any time.
To sum up, this is the perfect getaway for a romantic/fun night or two. It is within easy walking distance of Farnham Maltings and the high street, but 'out of the way' enough to be quite quiet. The noise from the road almost completely stopped from 10pm until 8am and in any case was hardly disturbing unless we opened a window.

Many thanks for taking the time to write such a detailed review on here, and for uploading your own photos of the hotel too. That's lovely to see.
I'm sorry you found the parking a little tricky during your stay. Unfortunately the poor position of some earlier arrivals can sometimes cause some challenges to other guests.
The curtain divider in your particular room (the Parisian Dreams) is something we are looking to convert to twin bi-fold doors in the future. The challenge has been having enough days clear for what is one of our most popular rooms.
I also very much appreciate your own responses to some of the other feedback posted here about Hotel de Vie.
We look forward to welcoming you back again in the future.
