We had a lovely week-end at the hotel but unfortunately the surrounding area needs an awful lot to be desired.

If the hotel has to make money they will need to clean up their act with the landscaping it is very poor indeed. The hotel was comfortable. But if you are to suceed you will need to tidy up the road up to the hotel etc.

Yes under new managment & now called Hotel Daniele. Friendly staff, but the food we had was a very long time coming, it was an hour and a half before the starters arrived. The sea food was nice but it was made to look far more that it really was by setting it on top of green salad. The main course was expensive and not as advertised, also hardly warm on arrival. The vegetables selection and quantity supplied with the main course was very mean. A poor selection of deserts, not as advertised on the menu. We were still hungry when we left Hotel Daniele. The price, would you believe £106/couple, including the 10% service charge that was added to the bill. For my money there are far better restaurants available in the Farnham area at much more competitive prices.

We are always on the look out for new restauarants and visited here Mother's day 2011 after seeing that the restaurant and hotel is under new ownership and what a very pleasant surprise. Farnham itself has quite a few Italian restaurants with the normal chains, Zizzis, Pizza Express etc but the food here has a totally different flavour, style and presentation as the new Italian owners are committed to only fresh ingredients in their varied menu. We were with our son and my wife and I ate from the very good value set menu (3 courses for £20) with children eating free. Obviously it is still early days but we have booked a table for 4 next Saturday and Nunzio Daniele, the Italian chef and Director, has offered to cook a 5 course tasting menu with wine at a fantastic rate. We are really looking forward to this and will report on this after. As I say it is early days but we wish the family owners every success for the future.
PS Thanks very much for saving my Mother's day, I had forgotten to book a restaurant for my wife and only came here as we were passing. A far far better dinner than we would have had anywhere else locally and for the price!

I noticed a couple of minibus's with Italian plates pull into the Farnham Park Restaurant drive and then saw the sign advertising new ownership and authentic Italian food so I visited that night.

This was their first day and they had not yet fully opened for business but they agreed to serve my family and I anyway. They are redocorating and modernising the facilities and things are already looking very nice. The restaurant area is the first in the schedule of facelifts.

We allowed them to serve us whatever they wanted and this was a good decision. The food just kept coming in typical Italian (Sicilian) style with sumptuous vegetarian anti-pasta, fish Pasta and a range of other courses with finally assorted fruit cooked in a lemon liquer from Corsica. Everything tasted fantastic and we will definitely return. During the meal they sung traditional Southern Italian songs to entertain and plied us with large quantities of house wine (very nice) and Grappa/Liquers.
All of this for £25 per head!

The hotel still requires some modernising but this is next on the agenda. Nice people, nice service and briilliant value.
