“OK hotel, not one of the best we've been to.....”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 December 2011

We often visit this area as we have family here. Staff were friendly & helpful.
Our room was spacious but smelt, it was clear someone had been smoking in the bathroom as the smell was very strong. I mentioned it to reception and it was played down & even laughed at which I found surprising. Someone looked for air freshener, couldn't find it, so nothing was done about the smell. I ended up spraying my body spray around to try and get rid of the smell of smoke!
The room was clean like all Premier Inn's are, but we overlooked the very busy main road. It was hot during the night but couldn't open the window due to the noise outside. Please be aware the hotel is situated next to a busy main road.
Breakfast (in the adjoining pub) was the worst we have had at a Premier Inn, and we have stayed at many! Short staffed, the fruit salad was starting to go 'off' as it had that fizzy flavour to it. Water was served from 2 flasks and was tepid. We asked for hot water and was given an explanation that someone had forgotten to turn on the boiler in the morning! We were unable to have tea or coffee. My daughter order a cooked breakfast with scrambled eggs and what arrived was clearly chopped up fried eggs! You could see the separate white & yellow of the egg and they tasted of fat. It really was a very disappointing breakfast, the worst we've had at a Premier Inn.
We wouldn't come back to this Premier Inn - we have found other Premier Inn's in the area that offer better value for money....

“If you want clean rooms, helpful, friendly staff then stay here!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2011 via mobile

The hotel is on a busy main road with a slightly limited car park but has additional parking opposite. Once inside though the welcome is friendly and the staff very helpful. We stayed with a 7 month old baby and we're delighted with the travel cot provided. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The restaurant attached was cosy and family friendly. I'm really quite fussy but thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel!

It was our first stand in UK and caused us big troubles. We were there for the business trip and spent 3 nights. We paid ahead for 2 rooms for 3 nights and for 1 more room for the last night (because one guy was snoring). In fact no one gave us a key and he didn't stay alone there. It was a big mess after with payment. I asked to fix the receipts and refund our money. We didn't have our money back and they gave us the receipts with many mistakes. So it's better not to pay there ahead. If you're foreigner you could have problems there, because they'll try to make a fool from you. Everytime you need to talk to different people and explain the same thing. Waste of money - this is my review.
But at the forth night we stayed at the hotel in London and people there were more attenitive for my requests.

“Lovely staff great hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 November 2011

We stayed here for 2 nights for my niece's wedding and to be honest having stayed at a Premier Inn in Frome in June we were a little concerned. We need not have been. This hotel was spotless the staff were fantastic (a special thankyou to Sarah on reception) and the food in the adjoining pub was very tasty,

We had a family room at the front of the hotel overlooking the road which was quite noisy but didn't really bother us. I did have a problem with the matress which seemed to be very hard but Sarah got this sorted and our second night was very comfy and we all slept well. I really would recommend this hotel. WELL DONE PREMIER INN and THANKYOU.

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper ask for a room at the back of the hotel.

“Decent budget hotel, brilliant staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 November 2011

We had a family room to the rear of the hotel (which slept 4 in a double and 2 single beds), the room was spacious and very clean. The hotel staff were brilliant, we saw several receptionists over the course of the weekend and they were all really friendly, polite and very efficient, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast (served in the pub next door) is plentiful and good value. All in all a great option if you are looking for a decent hotel on a budget.
