First time to splash landings but booked the £99 deal through groupon so got a bargain. All the staff that we encountered were helpful and friendly so well done. This is a massive plus for me. We stayed the Saturday day/night and it snowed very heavy that day we were slightly concerned about getting home the next day but we didn't have to worry the snow plough was out and all roads around Alton towers and right up to reception were snow free by the time we left at 10am. We visited the waterpark on the Saturday and the water was on the cold side. However I enjoyed the slides. We ate in the secret garden in the other hotel which wasn't buffet. The food was excellent but very pricey. Would have preferred a smaller cheaper portion for my child.I would like to return to the hotel but not for about another year as I felt my child who had just turned two was slightly too young.

We stayed during the week as we had the rooms for half the price. Thought the room we had was ok, was much smaller than we thought it would be. Although we stayed during the week it was still very noisy late at night. The rooms we had was in desperate need of a make over, although the children liked it! Location was fantastic as the waterpark was basically in the same building and alton towers was only a couple of minutes away. In the evening we had the buffet which was very nice, lots to choose from and also the breakfast was equally the same! Would definately recommend it but not paying full price!

Got back from 1 night stay at Splash Landings yesterday, paid £99.00 through Groupon offer for a family of four (kids aged 7 and 4), including breakfast and 1 day access to waterpark. Generally very good, a little disappointed that the outdoors areas of the waterpark were closed I assume due to the weather (although I have been to Centerparcs and swam outside at -5 !). Room was ok if not spectacular, certainly fine for a one night stay, food was fantasic (all you can eat buffet style eveing meal and breakfast) if a little overpriced (evening meal only as breakfast included). All in all great for a one night stay with kids especially if you do not have to travel too far, good value at the price paid through although I would think twice about visiting again at full price. Main criticism for me was the cost of "extra's" such as £1.70 for a 500ml bottle of Pepsi etc. I know that this is par for the course in the UK but it never ceases to annoy me!!!!

We stayed on Saturday night for the Roary and Fifi Weekend bought through Groupon. We have never stayed before so I can't tell you how excited the whole family were at going, and Alton Towers did not disappoint. From the moment we checked in Julia at reception made us feel very welcome, she really could not do enough to help, this goes for the rest of the staff too including the children's entertainers. The bedroom was big enough for us all and the beach comber style room was very quirky, the little touches like the Nemo shaped shower gels in the bathroom were lovely touches and the kids loved them.
The evening entertainment was brilliant for the kids, it started off with a pirate magic show and then onto dancing and disco which could not be faulted.
In the morning the breakfast was good and plenty of it too, staff were very efficient. We finished off the day with going into the waterpark which is out of this world.
The only thing we were sad about was having to leave, we had an amazing time and we will definitely be back. Thank you Alton Towers and keep up the good work we can not praise this place and the staff enough, the Schatynski family
