“Perfect venue for a special birthday celebration”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

We booked Ston Easton for my sister's special birthday celebration on 11th February 2012 and what a warm reception we received in this beautiful country house hotel! The 18th century palladian building has a beautiful elegant interior that has been sensitively furnished in keeping with the Georgian style, retaining many period features. We were shown into the comfortable library with its roaring log fire where we had canapes before a lovely three course lunch in the print room, which was perfect for our party, like having our own private dining room. The staff were so attentive, nothing was too much trouble, and made us feel very welcome. After dining handsomely, we had a stroll in the extensive grounds, admiring the cascades and water falls, accompanied by the resident cocker spaniel! Rounded off by tea in the library, it was a perfect day - thank you Ston Easton. I hear that the hotel is changing ownership so please, make sure you retain the unique charm of this beautiful historic building, and its lovely intimate atmosphere. Spending time at Ston Easton felt more like staying in a private country house than an hotel, and this was a huge part of its charm. No corporate decor or brash branding to be seen. It's a winning formula, so don't change it!

Room Tip: We did not stay the night, sadly!

“Truly memorable stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

We have just returned from a night at Ston Easton and were delighted with the way we were looked after by the staff from our arrival to our departure,. They were all attentive but not intrusive,. We stayed in a State room which lived up to its name. It was very comfortable with a very grand four-poster bed.

The evening dinner and breakfast were of a very good standard and the staff were knowledgeable and helpful and made you feel very at home and special.

We would not hesitate to return to this lovely old house and have already booked to attend one of the many cookery demonstrations on offer throughout the year.

David & Kay Cuff -- January 2012

Room Tip: The State room was spacious and sunny with good views over the front garden.

“Just a perfect spot!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

M.y husband and I stayed at Ston Easton on an anniversary trip to England in October. Loved the location (although a little difficult to find!), the welcoming staff, delightful dinner and breakfasts, and beautiful stately public rooms. We enjoyed walking around the grounds on the property, when the gardens are in bloom, it must be breathtaking. There is a snug cottage in the gardens that you can rent for a group (family, friends) that looks fantastic too. Highly recommended

“Christmas 2011”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

Outstanding hotel, staff and food. We had 16 people (and 1 dog) stay at Ston Easton over Christmas - 8 adults and 8 children from 10 years old to 18 months - and we all (apart from the youngest!) rated it 5 stars.

Room Tip: Suites in the Gardeners Cottage can provide some self catering. Rooms in Main hotel are very elegant...

“A relaxing pre-Christmas stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 December 2011

A very lovely country hotel with a personal feel. We enjoyed relaxing by the log fires in beautiful surroundings - the library is particularly special. The staff were friendly and thoroughly professional. The food was very good and we enjoyed our meals informally in the lounge. Just the relaxing break we needed, and we look forward to returning.
