Stayed 3 days over Christmas while visiting friends nearby. Charming owners, who had taken over from previous people once 2 weeks before. Room great. Bed comfortable. Breakfast nice. Location perfect for what we needed. Only 5 mins off M5 but feels in deepest Somerset. Quiet. Reasonable price. Recommended!

Found this excellent country house hotel by chance on the internet - so pleased we did. Very comfortable room individually furnished with wonderful views. The hosts were so welcoming and informative and the food was a most enjoyable experience - just wish we could have stayed longer - will definitely return.

We had a fantastic experience for my mother's 75th birthday celebration with 15 people. Glenda and Peter were the most charming and helpful hosts anyone could wish for. Nothing was too much trouble including special meals for a child and one adult. Organising everything was so easy with all the details taken care of. The table looked gorgeous with crisp white napkins and tablecloth, fresh flowers and the chairs had lovely white covers. The meal was unhurried, served beautifully and the food exquisite. The location is wonderful: quiet, beautiful terrace and lawn and gives a feeling a real tranquillity. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening and we have no hesitation in recommending Woodlands. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening.
