Yesterday I read an article that the bed bug infestation has hit Ohio in a big way, especially the Cincinnati area. I was reluctant to stay at any hotel in Ohio because of this, but needed to for business. I chose to stay at this Holiday Inn Express. I checked the mattress when I got to my room, but apparently I do not know what to look for. I was awoken at 4:00 am being bitten by bugs. I turned on the light and found many bugs all over the bed. I scooped up several of the bugs into a cup and took them to the front desk. The hotel did completely comp my room, which I appreciated, but this problem needs to be taken care of swifty and seriously!

We were staying overnight visiting relatives. The room was a suite and nice. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and upgraded us. It was a nice hotel. Only thing is they need screens in the windows and the breakfast they serve could be better.

I stayed here because I needed a place to stay where I could use points. Arrived in Grove City at dusk - signs blazing everywhere when you get off I-71 northbound but NO hint of this place. It's set back off the main road pretty far and being my first time ever in this town I went through about 5 other parking lots to get to this hotel. Check in was fast - room was in good condition. Needed an ethernet cable for internet access. Cable didn't work at first - then reverse the ends and it worked fine. Room was clean, plenty of towels, soaps, etc. My room was close to the breakfast/food area so the aroma of whatever was cooking was easy to smell. I don't know the rate this hotel was charging so I don't know if it's a good value - I used points.

My boyfriend and I had won a gift certificate here for the Presidential Suite. We decided to go for valentines day. Well, we got there and the pool was very small and crowded with children, there was no way we were going to swim. The Presidential Suite is right behind the elevator so you could hear the elevator dinging in the room. Then the bathroom lights flickered and made a horrible buzzing noise. The Jacuzzi was not the least bit romantic, it was in a seperate room in the bathroom with no scenery and had a very hospital like feel. The bed was hard and sounded like it was covered in plastic. The kitchen area and living area were big, but the bedroom was small. The bedroom was very noisy. My boyfriend and I ended up checking out within the hour because there was no way I could sleep in that room with the way the bed was and the noise from the highway. The gift certificate said the room was valued at $160 but there is no way I would pay that. When we left the front desk even offered to give us the gift certificate back and we declined. There was also another guest asking for clean towels as we checked out and they did not have any, the front desk staff told her that they would have to do some laundry first. I do not recommend this hotel for anyone!
